Folks, For a variety of reasons I'm going to take another break from Apollo related activities for a few months to concentrate on some personal and professional matters. I may pop in from time to time, but please carry on in my absence. Translation: The JayUtah chatbot will be offline for a while, because the company needs to use the spare mainframe it runs on. . . ;D

You're just afraid to debate Jarrah! (I'm sure that's what his next video will claim) Thanks for all your help Jay. We'll hold the fort down 'till you get back. I'm sure there will be plenty of hoax nut-bars left in the world to continue the debate when you return.

In all seriousness, while Jay is the best known of us, there are quite a few others who are not exactly novices at the relevant science. Nor, indeed, amateurs. Therefore, my concerns are more for the wellbeing of Jay than the informational content of the board.

Jay, take care and see you around. If your travels happen to take you to the D.C. area...

Good luck, Jay. Meanwhile, boys and girls, I'll be happy to take over for Jay in his absence. ...on second thought that's not a good idea... I guess we'll have to spread the work around - photography issues to Kiwi, rockets and orbital mechanics to Bob, biology to Jason Thompson... etc... If anyone needs to know anything about the Beatles, they can come to me...

Jarrah still goes on about using relay satellites while the CSM/LM whatever are in LEO... Yeah. I mean, there's just nothing so complicated and outlandish in the way of a conspiracy theory that will ever make the guy just give up and admit that Apollo actually happened. Well, you could go 25,000 MPH in a LEO. You just wouldn't stay LEO for long. I gotta see this...where was it? :-)

It was over at the loose change site forum some years back...he disappeared shortly thereafter, and I got de-registered for some unknown reason. I'm not even sure if it's still there. He was using it as a means for the LEO stack to escape detection, (you know, whooshing across the sky so fast nobody would notice it). Unfortunately, those darned pesky orbital mechanics kinda screw it all up...

Unfortunately, those darned pesky orbital mechanics kinda screw it all up... When has actual science got in the way of Jarrah? According to Ralph Rene, Newton's law of gravitation is erroneous. Maybe Jarrah was using Renetian Physics, the laws of physics that tell us objects more dense than water can float in it, that the blue sky is due to fluorescence, the speed of light is infinte and Coloumb's law tells us that like charges attract. It's a whole new whacky set of laws that redefine the way we view the universe. In fact, most of you have probably read this post before I posted it. [Luke waves at Jarrah - I know that Rene did not say that the speed of light is infinite, but since he overturned relativity, this is what he implies. Maybe you'd like to debate me on Rene's physics before making 20 videos explaining how I misquoted Rene. ;D]

The funny thing is, if Jarrah claimed that a manned Apollo could, from low Earth Orbit, be boosted to 25,000 mph, then according to orbital dynamics, he is admitting that a manned Apollo can be flow out to lunar distances. He essentially agrued that Apollo lunar missions were, in fact, done!

In terms of speed, while fast, it's still a tortoise in the grand scheme of things.

What I want to know is: if JW really does suffer persecution from every which way, be it the long arm of NASA stooges, journalists in Las Vegas, or Journalists in Sydney, why does he then insist on using arguments that can be so easily ripped apart? Does he actually and secretly desire this persecution?
