Due to a lackluster economy, the company I work for has been forced to close our Houston office. Being the Network/Systems Administrator, I'm responsible to make the trip in order to pack and ship all the computer and electronic equipment back to our main office.
Can anyone make suggestions of things to visit and see as far as NASA attractions? I have always wanted to see the Saturn V, is there one in Houston? Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.
I know I can find a lot of this myself online, but I would like to hear suggestions from someone that has been there before. Specifically things related to the moon missions.

I really enjoyed the "Level 9 Tour": www.spacecenter.org/Level9Tour.htmlStanding in Historic Mission Control Center, was a humbling and awe-inspiring experience for me and my daughter!

The rocket park in Houston at the JSC has the only flight certified Saturn 5 left and it is free to visit. If you got to Space Center Houston and have the time, pay for one of the better tours, most of the place is a kiddie day camp that is only vaguely space related. Wikipedia list these items as on display at SCH
Mercury 9 capsule (Faith 7) Gemini 5 capsule Apollo 17 command module Lunar Rover Vehicle trainer Skylab trainer mock-up Lunar Module Test Article 8
Let me know if you have any other questions about Houston. If you have a an evening free maybe we can get together for a drink.

How would you know that?? You're obviously one of those paid NASA shills! ;D Thanks guys! I did read up on the level 9 tour and it does sound like one of the better choices. And you are correct in that a lot of what was listed online seemed like stuff for the kiddies! NOT INTERESTED! Come hell or high water, I am at least stopping by Rocket Park to see the Saturn V! I'm glad they finally decided to move it inside. Having it rot away in the weather was is just sad.

I'm glad they finally decided to move it inside. Technically, they did not move the Saturn 5 inside, they put the inside around the rocket.

Still not 100% sure about the trip, but if I end up going and have some extra time, I'll contact you. We can have a beer and discuss the idiocy of the moon hoax theory.

I just haven't found the right smiley for saying "I'm being unnecessary pedantic." When you know more about you schedule, PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

I haven't been to see her since the restoration but they probably got rid of the birds nests and other such additions from her years outdoors.
