Oh mercy! I have just done the bad thing and debunked a few misinformed souls on Youtube. One fellow insisted that the camera tube burnt out too quickly. Some people are wilfully ignorant methinks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kndIVh4VddkNote he did point out I never read a batch of books including "Live TV From the Moon"!!! (although given the typos in that tome which have been pointed out to me, he might be right...) How absolutely sad. I should know better.

"Live TV From the Moon" You mean that rag that even Apogee Books wouldn't touch! (How's your blood pressure, Dwight?)

How absolutely sad. I should know better. I'd like to point out that you are arguing with Stalkervision. Don't even bother. The man claims to have a BA in Film Studies (or something like that). For a college grad he's got the grammar and spelling of a 10 year old. He likes to tell everyone of his achievements in life, which amounts to flying remote control planes with someone who 'invented' the artificial diamond. He seems to be an expert in everything, but knows nothing. Ask him to explain his claims in his own words, and he loses it. He fawns over Jarrah White, even referring to him as 'Jarriah' for a while - as in Messiah. S/V challenged someone to explain why the moon, devoid of weather systems and erosion processes, has a top soil. He's got six cans in his pack, but is missing the plastic thing that holds them together.

Isn't "YouTube debate" an oxymoron...?

Messieurs Stalker and co could do more to actually state what they claim rather than waft about like an unwanted gaseous escape in a space suit.
Reference from stalker about camera's having circuitry to prevent burnout, not sure what exactly about camera's having circuitry to prevent burn out as it optical (bit in the dark here?) and light has to hit the sensor (whatever the type) but I have seen a studio camera (news program) go when the presenter set off a flash compact camera down the bottle. late 80's early 90's. Not sure how valid this is to this comment.

Very valid to anyone except stalkervision and his band of misfits.

Oh boy. I dont think I have ever come across someone with obvious issues like stalker vision. I've had to block him as having 25 emails waiting for me every hour was just a little too psychotic for my liking.
Scary

Thanks banjomd. I'm nearly done with the Skylab/ASTP/Shuttle TV manuscript. If the book sells well then the follow-up will hopefully be published. Fingers crossed.
BTW stalkervision, just before his unceremonious blocking from my account upon finally realising that the Apollo 12 camera was indeed the SEC tube and not a vidicon, stated that anyone who in this day and age felt that knowing about such technology was important needed their head examined.
I guess he's the only one who can't see his forest because of all those damned trees in the way.
