That is utterly amazing. He can't get anywhere without his sock puppets.
BAUT rises to the top of the Google list because it's a very popular web site. We figure Google crawls it about every 3-4 hours. That doesn't mean what some guy says on it is worth listening to.

Dude, you have to nominate that for a Stundie! It's already been moved to Abandon All Hope, does it still qualify and even if it does do we want to give him more attention?

I wonder if he really has such a seemingly unlimited capacity for self-delusion, which is sad, or if he is just playing games, which is sad.

I wonder if he really has such a seemingly unlimited capacity for self-delusion, which is sad, or if he is just playing games, which is sad. I often wonder the same thing about these long winded hoax proponents. It is impossible for me to get into a sympathetic mindset with people like P1k. I simply cannot grasp his motives for this parade of ignorance. It seems equally improbable to me that he is carrying this on as a hoax or that he could believe what he says in the face of such overwhelming rebuttal. Of course there are wide array of possible motivations for his posts, so there is nothing to be gained in assuming I could parse them. I think is the inability to understand that leads to the occasional mental illness "explanation" that accompanies the desire of people to comprehended a person like P1K, who is so unfazed by reason.

Bah. I'm still following, but I have lost the desire to try to participate....in part because I am still under moderation (and Doctor Socks isn't?!) so anything I write gets posted as much as 12 hours later.

Quite possible. For what it's worth, I don't think this one has anything diagnosable, though of course I don't know him well enough to say. Never make pronouncements just based on what you've read online. But the fact that psychological solutions are available without requiring actual illness has proven very disheartening, when I've brought it up. No one likes to think that they, too, can be that crazy without actually being crazy.

Its a fair description of his behavior. What I never want to do is spend enough time with him to get a deep insight into his psychology.

It's probably general enough so that you don't have to. But I don't want to get to know him that well, either.

This writer is very interesting because he is so unique. I think it is a he. I notice there is no support for him. But some of his ideas are true I think. Maybe not all of them.

Welcome to Hoaxer logic--"The ideas have no support, but I'm sure they're true." Gods forbid anyone change their mind. No, just throw another sockpuppet onto the fire, I guess.

Patrick, creating yet another sock-puppet to praise your self-congratulatory bloviations on another board doesn't really help you here or there.
As far as there being no support for you, that's because (a) you don't know what you're talking about, (b) you keep lying about yourself, (c) your can provide no evidence for any of your claims, (d) you keep changing your story and contradicting yourself, and (e) you keep pretending to be a grown-up, but appear to be an unusually self-important 12-year-old.

It's interesting that one study indicated that people who believe in conspiracy theories tend to be people who would "conspire" themselves, for their own benefit. I think one factor driving Pat1K is that he is clearly willing to employ deception to gain his ends. I'm sure it makes him feel better to believe that *everyone* is willing to do the same thing, and that the only difference between him and the rest of us is that he's clever enough to see through our ruses.
