Just wanted to say to everyone here to have a Merry Xmas, Happy Hanukkah or whatever you believe or don't believe in. Been a great time here so far and hope to make it many more years here in the name of spreading knowledge. Best to you and yours this holiday season and make sure to stay safe, no drinking and driving, and most of all remember what the holidays SHOULD be about. That is giving thanks for all you have and spreading the spirit of xmas all year long. I for one have a great gift in all the friends I have made here at Apollohoax.net and am thankful for the information I have taken in. Happy Holidays everyone RnR(Jesse)

Psh, our holidays started weeks ago with Sinterklaas. ;D Happy holidays, everyone. That's when mine start, too--it's my birthday. And the quiet Yule I'll be spending with Graham today is so much better than the Christmas of Bickering with his family Sunday.

Darn, I've been celebrating it wrong, I thought December 24 was Apollo 8 day.

Darn, I've been celebrating it wrong, I thought December 24 was Apollo 8 day. Me too. We need to purge the heretics. It is entering lunar orbit that is to be celebrated, not the launch. [glow=red,2,300]Keep the lunar in Apollo.[/glow]

And merry Christmas to all. With hopes that each of us and our families can celebrate the season in the way of our choosing for generations to come.

Maybe you're right. But if it's only the lunar bit that counts, then the 7 days of Apollo 8 will have to be changed to the 10 orbits of Apollo 8 day? And what are we supposed to use for 10 days?
We can't have a Saturn V on an ML, even though the first manned launch of a Saturn V is also worth celebrating. We can't have the five F-1 engines or the seven mid-course corrections.
