My fault -- apologies. I don't have Real Player on the computer I'm using now, but I've seen the Sky At Night interview.

Hey, how about we go over to that survey and add a few votes to the "Yes" side. Is it still open? Do you think that might prove anything, Margamatix? :-)

It would prove exactly as much as all of us swearing on the Bible that Apollo happened. In other words, it wouldn't prove anything. Facts are not based on opinion polls or oath-taking.

Bad Move here Now the HBers can point to this quite and say JayUtah has admitted to mistakes, how can you trust anything he says Leaving aside the ramblings of my fellow country-person, one bit on the BBC site does show how far the hoax belief has got now In the green panel that says The Experts it says Note the word Claim!!! They could have said Watch an interview with two former Apollo astronauts but no they used the word Claim So now it is official here The lunar landings are not historical fact, but historical opinion. We must now refer to alleged moon landings We can not say they happened but we believe they happened. A HBer saying that it never happened has an equally valid opinion All opinions are valid and we must learn to value diversity.

"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

;D LOL ! You shall become one with the Borg!
Didn't you get it ? The Forum title is ApolloHoax ! That's the lure for unwitting people who wish to discuss why Apollo was a hoax - then you quickly realize it was all a trap! - you get ambushed by THE ENTIRE FORUM!!
AaaaHAHAHAHA!!

I think the percentages of Apollo believers vs. hoax believers in this forum is probably close to the percentages of the overall population that believe one side or the other. There are almost 100 members in this forum and maybe 5 or 6 hoax believers. Sounds about right to me.

There are almost 100 members in this forum and maybe 5 or 6 hoax believers. Sounds about right to me. A study showed that as a whole 6% of the US thought that the landing were a hoax. That is millions of people, but, as the study pointed out, in any poll you are likely to get around 6% for any answer, if not more.

That's the lure for unwitting people who wish to discuss why Apollo was a hoax - then you quickly realize it was all a trap! - you get ambushed by THE ENTIRE FORUM!! The original founder of this board created it as a pro-hoax site, thus the name Apollohoax. Through discussions with some of current members of the board (this was before my time), the original creator was turned from the dark side and came to realize the authenticity of the Apollo moon landings. By that point the board was already established so it kept its original name. Furthermore, as LunarOrbit points out, the proportion of pro-hoax versus pro-Apollo members is rather indicative of the overall population.

I enjoy this forum and like reading the messages from other members, particularly Jay, BobB, Sticks and sts60 but can I just confirm that I will not be banned from the forum simply because I do not believe in the Moon landings?

... but can I just confirm that I will not be banned from the forum simply because I do not believe in the Moon landings? I have never seen anyone banned from this forum solely for their belief in the moon hoax or any other conspiracy theory. In the few instances someone was banned, it was do to rudeness, trolling, spamming, or some other inappropriate behavior.

... their belief in the moon hoax or any other conspiracy theory. . The moon landing is the conspiracy theory. Except for the fact that it is meticulously documented, backed up by facts and supported by every other major power in the world. We will go back someday. The Apollo remnants will still be there and there will still be those who refuse to believe it.

The next leap forward will be the development of a telescope which would clearly show any remains from any moon landing, but no-one seems to be in a hurry to develop one, despite the apparent ease of doing such a thing.
