Do you believe:
that the earth is flat?
in a geocentric universe?
that ET's were responsible for the Pyramids and Nazca lines etc?
in the big bang?
in evolution?

And hey, do you believe the Russians landed probes on Venus? Or that the earth is falling around the sun?

1) No
2) No
3) No
4) Don't know.
5) Yes
I am flattered to have become such an object of attention, but could I just ask that in future you start more generalised threads, as I do not have the time to answer everybody on every thread which is specifically directed towards me- thanks.

We know you're only one guy, and presumably have other things to do then continuously monitor and answer posts from a dozen or so other people.
Suggestion: pick just one of your technical claims - such as that there is no plausible way to cool a space suit on the Moon - and defend it. That should be manageable in terms of time, no?

On the moon, it is either very hot or very cold (the astronauts seem to be confused about which it is) Assuming it is very hot, then the backpacks would have been unable to reject that amount of heat for that duration of time. Whatever coolant they used, it would have been overwhelmed by the ambient temperature. That's why air-conditioning units are the size they are, in order to perform such a small reduction in temperature. Let me put it another way...... Design a PLSS for a goldfish which is to be immersed in a gallon of boiling water for three hours. The maximum mass of the PLSS is to be no more than 25% of the mass of the goldfish.

Margo won't reply, at least not with anything sensible. (But he'll probably reply to this to moan about me getting his name wrong, questioning my 'tactics' etc yawn, yawn...) He's a troll, pretty clearly, who WANTS to believe all the horse-dung he's swallowed.
I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Dan Dennett (I've only read a coupleof his articles myself) but he has a nice line:
"Nobody is immune to wishful thinking. It takes scientific discipline to protect ourselves from our own credulity."

Well, I take it back. He did reply. Not with anything sensible though.

He's a troll, pretty clearly, Errrr, this thread was started by someone else and aimed at me? ? How can that make me a troll?

There is no "ambient" temperature on the moon. Only a surface temperature. You need to have air to have an ambient temperature. The moon doesn't have this.

So if you stood naked on the moon, but insulated from the surface, would you feel very hot or would you feel very cold?

He's a troll, pretty clearly, Errrr, this thread was started by someone else and aimed at me? ? How can that make me a troll? Hmm. Once again, logic passes you by. You base your question on the false premise that only the starter of this thread can be described as a troll. You have exhibited troll-like behaviour in numerous threads and indeed have started numerous threads with crass, troll-like enquiries. Even on this thread you have ignored all the information given to you elsewhere and repeated your notion of 'it' being hot on the moon. If this is not troll behaviour then it is, at best, idiotic.

Why?
The ambient temperature of what?

On the moon, it is either very hot or very cold...
What is very hot or very cold?
Assuming it is very hot...
Assuming what is very hot?
Whatever coolant they used, it would have been overwhelmed by the ambient temperature.
What ambient?
That's why air-conditioning units are the size they are, in order to perform such a small reduction in temperature.
No. Air-conditioning units are the size they are because they have to reduce the temperature of a huge mass of air in your house and keep it reduced under a continuing influx of heat. They also have to be affordable to build and operate in mass quantities.
Design a PLSS for a goldfish which is to be immersed in a gallon of boiling water for three hours.
What does this have to do with space or the lunar environment?

Well, in that case, why was I invited to contribute to another thread? Because you were invited by someone who just registered on this forum yesterday and hasn't dealt with your BS like the rest of us.
