He said it was a crusade and crusades were thought to be an order from God.

hmm, well there are three definitions of crusade: dictionary.reference.com/search?q=crusadeThe first is actually Crusade with a capital C - meaning THE Crusades. You didn't capitalize so I guess that's not what we're talking about. The second definition requires the pope's approval. I don't think the pope was in favor of the war. So, we're left with the third definition that has nothing to do with god. Personally, when I hear the word, I think of Knight Rider: www.scifi.com/knightrider/"a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless, the powerless, in a world of criminals who operate above the law." I don't think there is any religious connotation to that. At any rate, I wont threadjack your thread beyond this post, so you can get the last word in and then we'll drop it.

LOL! That's awesome!
The deadly radiation belts around the Earth turn everyone radioactive and make your eyes boil in your skull unless you are wearing 18 inches of lead. So how did they get through it?

Ummm, LotRs. I seriously suggest you look at the maps you posted again. Station 9a is right on the edge of Hadly Rile, due west of the landing site. It's easier to see in the first mp since it is labeled whereas it's lost in the shadow of the Rile in the second map. From the map, they would likely have been within 100m of the Rile.

I look again and again and what can I see in the background of the second photo is Hadley Delta, that is Kilometers away from station 9a. Is Hadley Rima what you refer to as Hadley Rile?

I look again and again and what can I see in the background of the second photo is Hadley Delta, that is Kilometers away from station 9a. Is Hadley Rima what you refer to as Hadley Rile? Sorry, should be Rille, two L's. The Hadley Rille is another name for it. To get an idea of the scales, the dip in the ground you can see is the Rille, which by the map you have posted is about 1km across The ALSJ says about the shot AS15-82-11121 Rightward of 11120, showing Dave as he reaches under his Rover seat to get the 500-mm camera. Excellent view southward along the rille. AS15-82-11122, which is the next in the pan, shows another even better shot of the Hadley Delta, seen over Trophey Point (you can just see it on the edge of 11121) and the knuckle of the Rille where it continues down towards elbow crater. That indicates that they aren't right next Delta at all. The large crater in this image (and 11123) is St Geogre Crater, and from that image, and the scale of the Rille, the mountain and crater would easily be 3-4 km away. If you look at the map and try to ignore the scale, just comparing the features seen in the photo with what is on the map (ie, The Rille, Trophey Point, Elbow Crater, St Geogre Crater) you can see that they have to be taken from the point were Station 9a is claimed to be for them to appear in the images as they do.

Personally I think Bush junior is the joke of the century and could be replaced with a chimp without anyone nticing. I'm just glad I don't live in the states and have to put up with the idiot. Did you notice that after his speech in China yesterday he couldn't even locate the exit.

I can see the elbow crater on map and it is claimed to be far away while it is very close. Even small rocks that should according to you disappear bcz of distance can be seen. This discussion is going nowhere. You can stick to your beliefs, just don't make bogus explanations.

All this according to the map that we are arguing is not suiting the real photo. You can't say: becasue the map says it is away, then it is surely distance away. We are just discussing the credibility of the whole thing.

Understandable, but the map should show reasonable distances.

If the map doesn't show accurate distances, it is of no use.
