Bart Sibrel is not very believable. I read recently he was maybe working on the inside for the American government. He let Aldrin punch him. Does anyone think that is true? It seems possible.

What I think is that hoax believers are embarrassed by Bart Sibrel so they are trying to distance themselves from him by making up stories about him being a government agent.

When in doubt, cry "Shill!" Or enter another tedious sockpuppet, it seems.

The American Government doesn't seem to be paying him very well.

This was EXCELLENT WORK Count Zero. In fact, during my conversation with Bart Sibrel, I brought up weather patterns. He was quick to assert that that is all easily faked. How long will this hoax theory last?

I don't suppose he stated how exactly? In the 'radiation oven' they used to make the moon rocks? If reading Silver Age comic books has taught me anything, radiation can do anything.

What I think is that hoax believers are embarrassed by Bart Sibrel so they are trying to distance themselves from him by making up stories about him being a government agent. Our old friend David C (aka Rocky, Cosmored) once thought the same of Jack White because even he could see that some of his photography claims were ridiculous. Even better than that, he claimed that the owners of the Loose Change forum were in cahoots with the government because they didn't want to allow discussion of Apollo. I think the delicious irony was lost on him - Government MIB "Yeah, we're more than happy for you to continue accusing the government of mass murder and destruction just a few years ago, but by no means allow discussion of a 40 year old conspiracy about landing some people on the moon."

I don't suppose he stated how exactly? That reminds me of a thread over in ATS where I pointed-out that not even modern special effects could replicate the behavior of kicked dust in the Apollo video. The HB answer? "Video trickery!" Remember folks, in HB world anything is possible except flying to the Moon. If reading Silver Age comic books has taught me anything, radiation can do anything. Hmmm... I wonder if we can argue that secret NASA technology (developed by R. Richards et al) harness radiation to fly us to the Moon. Make that easily harness - HBs seem to like that word...

HAHAH that's awesome. "Video Trickery!". Sounds like something Hunchbacked AKA "Inquisitivemind" would say. Speaking of our Youtube friend hunchbacked, I've taken a particular fascination with that guy. Unlike most hoaxers who simply parrot whatever they hear and read on conspiracy sites he actually does his own "research". He says he's an engineer, and many of his videos (well over 200 and counting) purport to blow the whistle on some unworkable Apollo subsystem (which, in fact, works just fine). He claims the otherwise competent Apollo engineers resented being forced to produce unworkable garbage so they buried "clues" to this fact in their documentation. So much for the "compartmentalization pixie-dust theory", which some hoaxers use to get around the obvious (even to them!) absurdity of a conspiracy with 400,000 conspirators remaining airtight for over 40 years. All those engineers, at least, had to be in on it to leave all those "clues". His analyses are all hilariously, even jaw-droppingly inept, of course, which is why they're so much fun. But I had a real treat a few days ago as he encountered a 9/11 "truther" repeating the now-familiar claim that the WTC was brought down by explosives. I was stunned to see him defend the conventional explanation, i.e, that the airplane damage and resulting fires were sufficient to bring those buildings down without explosives. Finally, a conspiracy too far out even for hunchbacked. Sauce for the goose, and all that. Great fun.

Remember folks, in HB world anything is possible except flying to the Moon. In some HB's world that was possible too, they even did, but not in the astronauts, footage, and photos we are shown, that was all faked with the real missions done secretly before the faked public mission, meaning that if anything went wrong, they could hide it.

The basic rule seems to be that they want to believe that something happened differently than the official record says. No matter how trivial or pointless it may be.

The basic rule seems to be that they want to believe that something happened differently than the official record says. No matter how trivial or pointless it may be. I think that's the basic motivation of the typical CTist - they want to prove that someone (the government, usually) is WRONG. It's why they can consider multiple contradictory theories at the same time without cognitive dissonance. They aren't interested in determining the truth, just in smugly announcing that what the rest of us think is true is not.
