The problem is that the keys to the Weather Manipulation Control room are on Ted's keychain, and he's had his keys locked in the car for the past 40 years. So all the weather-control agents are locked out of the room, and have spent several decades out in the parking lot with a coat hanger trying to get Ted's car open.

Hey, if we had "weather manipulation control" in 1969 then Global Warming isn't really a problem, is it? ...Unless "they" like it warm. <maniacal_cackle>

"They" are reptilian, after all.

Speaking of outlandish HB claims, apparently, so I have been told, photographic film, and a TV pickup tube for that matter don't record reflected light. Boy are Sony and Kodak going to be angry. I remember a post something along those lines on the old BAUT. The naive poster was arguing that lunar surface photos were fake because, in the absence of direct sun exposure, the shaded side of the LM should have been completely black. Some smart disinfo agent pointed out that this statement was the equivalent of saying that people couldn't see, since the retina was deep within the shaded area of the eye and when not looking at the sun, only viewed reflected light. Someone else brought up the camera example as well. Having had his lack of knowledge revealed by being corrected, the poster moved onto demonstrate deep ignorance in other ways.

You'd think after all these years, they would just break Ted's car window.

"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

Well, the process of photography was dismissed by a regular over on You Tube who has a dog of a time convincing those of us who have gone astray.

Truth be told I have forgotten which video exactly it may be www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1aixi_Sj24 although I can't be sure. The posts come in so steady that something I read one day is buried under tons of posts in a matter of hours.

Now that I think about it, couldn't the shape-shifting reptilians somehow slither into Ted's car without breaking the window?

Having had his lack of knowledge revealed by being corrected, the poster moved onto demonstrate deep ignorance in other ways. That sounds like every "discussion" with Turbonium over on UM... Cz

It's unfortunately the rule among HBs. I guess if it weren't, they would have abandoned their insistence on a moon hoax long ago.

I have to admit that I an constantly amazed by the depths of ignorance most HBs seem to possess. It's almost as if they go out of their way to know less about a topic that the ordinary person in the street.

That's correct. Film records the quantity of dark remaining in a given area. Light bulbs and other similar apparatus suck the dark out of an area... Yep, as an ex-professional photographer I can vouch for that. On my darkroom door I had a sign which warned people, "Shut the door or the dark will leak out."
