I guess they have an Alex Jones... www.azstarnet.com/allheadlines/173023"Those who refuse to believe the official version of events, that Islamic militants were behind the attack, point their fingers in several directions — at Spain's own security forces, an attempted left-wing coup d'etat, and, most commonly, the Basque separatist group ETA. The LA Times reports today that officials in Spain are worried that the terrorists there who were ultimately responsible for the 3/11 attacks are growing into a bigger problem. "It is undoubtedly true that Spain is much more of a target today than before," Fernando Reinares, former terrorism advisor to the Interior Ministry and senior analyst at the Elcano Royal Institute, said in an interview.
So voting in a government that did what the terrorists wanted - removing Spanish troops from Iraq, has in fact merely served to embolden the terrorists. Who would have thought that appeasement of terrorists doesn't work?

The problem is that the Elcano Royal Institute is the "think-tank" for the PP, the conservative party that lost those elections. I would think that his point of view isn't exactly neutral.

The entire story concerned terrorist groups getting more and more dangerous, and it wasn't founded just on this one interview.

I don't discuss that, and I think that the current government is pretty wrong in how has dealt with many issues, including, but nor limited to, terrorism.
