I never considered Stone's JFK an accurate documentary of John Kennedy's assassination. It raises good questions for sure, and some of the 'information' in this film could relate to events that might have happened. So as not to derail that thread. JFK isn't even an accurate protrayal of the events that it claims to be showing. Here's a list of factual errorsThere is a new 10 part JFK Mini Series coming soon with Tom Hanks in it. It's going to be based on Vincent Bugliosi's new book "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy." This is far more likely to be accurate. A great site that deals with JFK Myths is John McAdams The Kennedy Assassination

Generally, it is reasoned that if there were four shots then there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. The trick is identifying the fourth shot from what video/audio is available. I guess the Grassy Knoll shot (if proven) would qualify as the fourth shot?

Generally, it is reasoned that if there were four shots then there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. The trick is identifying the fourth shot from what video/audio is available. I guess the Grassy Knoll shot (if proven) would qualify as the fourth shot? Just some problems with this. - 90% of the wittnesses say there were three or less shots.
- There were witnesses who had a clear view of the Grassy Knoll and the fence and did not see a shooter.
- Any shooter on the Grassy knoll would have had too much obstructing his view, including signposts and the crowd themselves.
- Any shooter on the grassy knoll wouldn't have been able to see the President until the shot had to be taken
- Any shot hitting the president from the direction of the Grassy Knoll would have left an exit wound on the left side of the President's head and have hit Jackie.
eta: Oh, and the audio track from the Police Motorcycle that was believed to have the shots on it and lead to the House Committee suggesting that a conspiracy was possible, has since then bee totally debunked. The motorcycle was never in the plaza, and the recording is from about a minute after the shooting (evidenced by a radio call that is heard on it.) Added to that reanalysis of the echo testing when compared to the so called shots has shown that the similarity isn't actually as close as the original investigators claimed it was. (edited further to add: There is no Video of the event, there is Film. All three shots are clearly identifiable in the Zubruder Film.)

What's more, all the physical evidence shows that the shots came from the Schoolbook Depository. If there was a Grassy Knoll shooter, and there's no evidence there was, whoever-it-was missed!
I'm looking forward to the miniseries, though. I want the book--last I looked, Amazon was offering it with free shipping. I think it works out to about $.50 an ounce to buy it from them.

Any idea what the Tom Hanks mini-series is called? It's not (as far as I can tell) listed in his IMdB biography.
