Caught a clip of Bill being interrupted by one while speaking for his wife's campaign. After a few quips, he says "An inside job? How dare you...how DARE you". Not a big BC fan but it was good to see him call them on this foolishness. They just spout off and havew zero accountability. Maybe someone should introduce them to the legal system via the term "slander". ETA: Incidently, when BC made the above comment, the crowd went absolutely wild...so much for the 9/11 insiders capturing the heart of the populace. Sorry guys, folks aren't buying it.

Bill Maher's show on HBO was interrupted repeatedly last week by 9/11 "truthers" in the audience, though it was impossible to make out what the first one was yelling about until Bill started yelling back and had them tossed from the studio.

Even Bill Clinton can be right sometimes. I guess he learned (a concept foreign to CTs) how hard it is to keep anything secret.

You mean like his economic policies that had the US economy going from strength to strength and resulted in the largest supplus the US Govenment had ever had. Like not getting involved in wars. Like being President 24/7 and trying to solve the problems that faced the world by peace brokering, and like not being a total idiot outside of times when his pants did his thinking for him? If you want to compare Clinton's Presidency and Basil Bush's, it's a no brainer.

[sarcasm]Oh I'm sure it was all Bill Clinton's fantastic economic acumen that resulted in the '90s boom, and it had nothing to do with the winning of the Cold War, or the Republican-led congress (from '94 onward, which reformed wellfare), or the tax cuts of the Reagan and Bush Sr. years finally yielding their long term results, or the dot com boom (and didn't that turn out well?). And it's a pitty Yassir Arafat is no longer alive so he could solve all the Middle East's peace problems like he did at Oslo with Clinton's help. And I guess the US involvement in Bosnia or the Somalia can't really be called a War, since they're not oil-producing countries. And that agreement with North Korea worked so well when we didn't know they were treating it like toilet paper. Things were obviously so much better when presidential policy consisted solely of putting out fires and pandering to the masses rather than setting long term, difficult goals and trying to take decisive action against threats to the country. Here's a clip. It could be down soon. From what I've seen so far, news reporters seem quite subjective in there.

Of course, I don't think Bill Clinton ever flew jet fighters either.

Here is what George W. Bush said about why he enlisted in the National Guard: "I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment. Nor was I willing to go to Canada. So I chose to better myself by learning how to fly airplanes." How noble of him.
The Air National Guard was considered "safe" at that time, as it had been decided that National Guard Units would not participate in the Vietnam war. Bush did not fulfill his obligation and was suspended from flying after failing to take a mandatory flight physical.
George W. Bush once said, "I've been to war. I've raised twins. If I had a choice, I'd rather go to war." Ha ha, what a guy. Except, of course, he has never been to war. But why should a little detail like that matter?
His last two opponents for the job of President of the United States:
Senator John Kerry, Lt., U.S. Navy 1966-70; Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Heart awards for his service in combat
Former Vice President Al Gore - enlisted August 1969; sent to Vietnam January 1971 as an army journalist, 20th Engineer Brigade at Bien Hoa, an airbase twenty miles northeast of Saigon.
and...
Vice President Dick Cheney - did not serve. Several deferments, the last by marriage.
Yes, we sure are lucky to have had a washed out Air Guard pilot to lead us into a war that we didn't need to fight. Sure would have been bad for the country to have had a man who had actually seen combat leading the country at that time.

Senator John Kerry, Lt., U.S. Navy 1966-70; Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Heart awards for his service in combat Leaving aside the accusations of the Swift Boat Veterans, for the moment: Initially built his political career on his lies before Congress about the conduct of US soldiers in Vietnam, mostly accusations of torture and mass murder that he had no actual first hand knowledge of. Was seen on national TV throwing his medals over the White House fence in protest but later admitted it was actually someone else's medals. The modern Trofim Lysenko, a non-scientist always eager to use whatever means he can to push his crackpot claims that even his supporters admit are grossly inaccurate. A complete hypocrite, living a lifestyle completely at odds with what he preaches to his admirers. Also a sore loser.

Well you have think. Who's the more intelligent... The guy that gets sent to Vietnam and into the line of fire. The guy the gets sent to Vietnam and stays out of the line of fire by reporting on it. The guy the avoids Vietnam by learning to fly planes at home, or the guy the avoids it by going to Europe.
