National Enquirer has photos it is trying to present as being authentic of Steve Irwin's last moments.
I do not think they are for real because it looks like he is in a tank; he is dressed in his Australian safari garb complete with the beige vest and the shorts; you don't ever get a shot of his face; and the stinger looks kind of purple and is dangling out of his body about 3 inches. It looks fake to me.

Just as a point of interest, we has a stringray attack on a diver here this weekend. Unlike Steve, he survived as the stinger hit him in the thigh. He didn't even see the ray before it attacked him. NZ has had only 1 ever documented Sting Ray fatality.
