I would like to show my little boy the hammer & feather demonstration from Apollo 15 but the YouTube clips I have found are all a bit fuzzy. I have the Spacecraft DVD for Apollo 15 but does anyone know on which EVA Dave Scott did the experiment (to save me sitting through the whole lot - I'd happily do so but my wife probably would have oher ideas). Memory makes me think it was the end of EVA 3 but if any of you good folk know I'd be most grateful.

It was near the end of EVA 3. He introduces the experiment at 167:22:06 GET by saying, "Well, in my left hand, I have a feather . . ." and so on.

And to finish it off, show him the hammer and feather lying on the lunar surface: AS15-88-11890.Hi-res.Caption: At some point after 167:22:43, Dave took this picture of the hammer and feather lying next to the MESA. The picture was taken from a point west of the MESA. It appears that Dave kicked the hammer and feather out of the way after finishing his gravity demonstration, probably so that they wouldn't get stepped on. At the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal (link at the bottom of every page here), the page you want is called "The Hammer and the Feather". It is the third-to-last page for the mission.

And for my troubles....
Last night there was an almighty crash from the kids room. I rushed in to find a box of toys strewn on the floor and feathers floating around the room. My not quite 5 year old was demonstrating Dave Scot's experiment to his 3 year old brother by hurling a box of toys off the bunk bed and a load of feathers he had liberated from a pillow. My annoyance was tempered by hearing his explanation; 'On the moon they would hit the floor at the same time because it's in a vacuum. Pay attention Zach or you won't learn anything and you'll be a rubbish grown up'. No HB's in the making here!

It must be a Masonic reference! I've only just realised it!!!!
On A14, Al Shepard says, "In my left hand, I have a little white pellet that's familiar to millions of Americans." Dave Scott says on A15 "In my left hand, I have a feather."
Fra Mauro, a 15th century cartographer- a map being a navigational aid. Hadley Rille, named after a 16th century scientist who invented the octant - a navigational aid!!!
Based on not very much, it's obvious that Mauro, Hadley, Shepard and Scott must be Masons. Golf balls, feathers, maps and octants can all be held in the left hand!!!!
Of course, it's because the right hand has to be left free for the secret Masonic handshake!!!
Antares and Falcon have thirteen letters between them!!!
I can begin to see the fun in this hoax lark... and, oh, the joy of multiple exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aren't you supposed to use more CAPITAL LETTERS when you explain your conspiracy theory? Along with the multiple exclamation points and question marks? ?!!!!!!!!!! ??

You are mistaken, Brother Bert. Take a closer look at the post. You see? There is no error. We of the Illuminati know all. Ask no questions or you will be expunged. I've realised my "true" persona as uncovered by keen-eyed HBs is much more fun than that of a lisping, spotty, illiterate youth. Sorta like a cross between MIB and the Terminator.

We of the Illuminati know all. Then how come you left out the comma after "spotty" !!!!!!! Sorta like a cross between MIB and the Terminator.I can easily imagine the pleasure I would get from holding up that flash-thingy in front of a hoax-believer and saying, "Please look this way for one moment." Very easily. Especially if it was on full power and I hadn't, in my dotage, forgotten the special sunglasses.

[sigh]Some people never learn[/sigh] You are mistaken, Brother Kiwi. Take a closer look at the post. You see? There is no error. We of the Illuminati know all. Ask no questions or you will be expunged. Next? Any other so-called 'errors' you wish to report, Citizen? Think very carefully before you answer...
