Well, I'll be going to the same events in Canberra that Obviousman is going to. Looking forward to it.
As they've suggested that people can bring along Apollo memorabilia, I might bring along the Apollo 11 commemorative mug and the Life magazine about the astronauts which was published in 1965 (quite moving, given the astronauts listed). My wife bought both of them on Ebay for me.

I'd love to be able to go, and I could even afford it, but having just started a new job, I couldn't get the time off if I wanted to, so... perhaps I'll catch the 50th.

I've got the Columbia and Eagle kit I promised myself... changed a bit since I did it last, in that it doesn't come with gld foil any more. Oh well, I have some at home. If I remember I'll put a pic up here when it's done. 20 days and counting...
Edit for typo...

Fresnedillas was amazing. I got a bunch of interviews with ex-technicians and the god-father of Spanish space tracking operations himslef, Manuel Bautista. We had a tour of the Robledo DSS tracking station with up close and personal views of the receiving antenna. While we were there we observed incoming data from Cassini!! All of this is on HD and I'll make it available very soon.
