"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

I heard there was a program celebrating 40 years of spaceflight with James May as the host, so I'm assuming you're referring to that. I'm not in the UK and the TV on my room can't receive BBC2. Any chance of non-UK viewers watching this?

You could try the BBC iplayer. I've no idea if that's territory locked though.

It was a good show
On BBC4 they put on the 'Sky At Night' show from 1969 with the Apollo 11 launch 'live'
I bet Sir Patrick didn't think thath e would be presenting the same show in 2009.

My parents got me out of bed to watch the landings. It was funny watching James May saying exactly the same thing. A real shared experience.

Unfortunately I wasn't born in 1969, and I was only 6 months old for Apollo 17's launch, but I do remember getting up to watch Columbia's first launch in '81, and then getting up the two nights later too cause it was delayed....

It was a good program. Cleared the decks for action so phone off, sound up and all that. Think Mr May does a superb job on programs like this. Missed the Sky at night though.
Another on BBC 2 tomorrow 21:00 according to the ads. "one small step"

His flight in the U2 was good.

I didn't like it. It was mostly James May getting a flight in a U2 interspersed with a few words from some of the astronauts.
I did like it when he took Charlie Duke outside his house to have a look at the old sports car though.
