Your graphics card must be a lot better than mine; my descent stage looks like it's floating on gray clay. I'm using a relatively old nVidia GeForce 8400 GS video card. It could be how you installed the addon (is it AMSO or something else?) because messing up the install sometimes does weird stuff. BTW to keep in topic, final science orbit for the LRO is ~35km x 65km, so at that altitude, the resolution would definitely improve. -RODION

I'm kinda burpy and gassy here... but I really doubt that has much to do with the LRO images... Cz

Jarrah: Way to go, once again. You prophesied LRO would show nothing. And it showed NOTHING. I knew it too. They were never there so they really do have NOTHING to prove! LOL I think I know what their problem is: they're blind. I expected them to use the Photoshop excuse, not outright denial that there is something in the photographs. They obviously don't understand lighting and shadows at all. They must think this photo is fake too.

Well, there was a small window for some kind of rational discourse over on YT, but now that Duane, greenmagoo and Jarrah's other attack dogs have been let loose, the last hundred posts on the vid have been down to their usual standards of deny deny deny insult insult insult and then deny some more.
Its quite pathetic how predictable and insanely ignorant they all are.

...final science orbit for the LRO is ~35km x 65km, so at that altitude, the resolution would definitely improve. I thought it was just going to be in a circular 50km orbit, but this is better. Where did you hear/read this?

Where did you hear/read this? I got this from an unconfirmed source in the Orbiter forums, so yes, I cannot vouch for this. However, it makes sense to have the 35km x 65km "closer look" orbit for science purposes, because fuel will be wasted just to remove eccentricity of (i.e. circularize) a lower-than-50km orbit. -RODION

Why are the footpaths so prominent in the Apollo 14 image? NASA says there was a "desirable lighting condition" for the image, and I know from a Clavius page that compressed regolith can be very reflective, does that have anything to do with it?

Check the DS shadow in the AP14 shots, they're shorter than the rest, which could mean this is the optimal sun angle to see trails or any signs of regolith compression. -RODION

I can't believe they continue to publicly display their ignorance. I would be embarrassed to be associated with them.
