Whilst wasting time at work I can across "Orbiter - A free space flight simulator" which to quote from the home page: ORBITER is a free flight simulator that goes beyond the confines of Earth's atmosphere. Launch the Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center to deploy a satellite, rendezvous with the International Space Station or take the futuristic Delta-glider for a tour through the solar system - the choice is yours. It's absolutely brilliant, and the nearest I'll ever get to a space shuttle. You can find it here: orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

It's a terrific program. For Apollo, look for the associated download "AMSO" (or NAASP" if you're into hyper functional panels). Really nice program for playing with orbits, TLIs and such.

Yeah, I have NAASP. It has a steep learning curve and there are still some bugs (very beta), but it is a blast to play with realistic spacecraft. There are also some mods out there to model a modified Apollo Mars flyby, but I haven't tried them.
For a different experience, try the fictional DG-XR1 mod.
