New photo shows the soviet descent stage sitting serenly on the lunar surface. Don't have a link as i,m writing from my mobile phone with limited functions.
I wonder how the pravda hoaxer crowd will explain that cognitive dissonance. On the one hand it shows the glorious russian supremecy by way of their landers, yet it also shows Apollo hardware. Go figure.

Go figure. Easily, these are genuine photos showing socialist hardware. The Photos of the Yankee Imperialists hardware have all been clearly photoshopped. You can see the pixels etc.

It's pretty cool. Finding those things in the photographs is like stumbling across a time capsule.
BTW Many apologies for the spelling and formatting problems in my OP. That'll learn me to pay more attention when accessing the internet via a mobile phone.

CBC has an article about it and the HB's are out in force in the comments section. It's so depressing. www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2010/03/17/tech-moon-rover-picture.htmlBut someone with the name OntarioRuMP said this could be first the first official road on the Moon and they could name it Stooke's Highway after the astronomer Phil Stookes who spotted them. That was a good idea.

Fantastic image. I've seen a photo of the impact site for a stage from Apollo 14, do you think that any of the debris from a lunar module ascent stage would be visible?

I assume you mean the impact site for the S-IVB for Apollo 14, because I've seen that picture too. The LM ascent stage impact sites are all pretty well known, so LRO should have some good photos of them soon if not already. Anyone seen any yet? Each impact site is not far from its corresponding landing site, but too far to show up in the same LRO strip.
