They only went up to Medium Earth Orbit, to the safe zone between the inner and outer Van Allen Belts. Remained there a couple of days, took some pictures of earth, maybe sent some probe to the moon, and then returned home.

Got any evidence? How does your story better explain the facts?

Got any evidence? How does your story better explain the facts? Well, the official Apollo pictures of earth match the distance in question

How do you explain the dish's that were used. They are very accurate in pointing. An orbit will stuff that up.

I suggest you take a closer look at that image. Specifically at the "safe zone" directly above and bellow both belts. That is the "safe zone" the Apollo missions passed through on the way towards the moon.

I think there is a reason - the other photos don't fit his beliefs so he/she conveniently ignores them. HBs don't like the facts to get in the way of fantasies.

Got any evidence? How does your story better explain the facts? Well, the official Apollo pictures of earth match the distance in question For starters, you've only posted a cropped copy of the image. This is taken from the Gateway to Astronaut Photography of the Earth website, which includes scans of the whole film. Now all you have to do is find out what the focal length of the lens is, so you can calculate the angular field of view. Once you have that, and you look up the value for the radius of the Earth, you can do some simple trig and calculate how far from Earth the CM was when the photo was taken. Then you can compare that to how far away they should have been for the timestamp of the mission (about 5 hours elapsed time from lift off, and approx 1 hr 40 minutes after the TLI burn). I look forward to seeing your calculations.
