As people probably know, I'm building a 1:32 Revell Apollo CSM.
I'm trying to figure out the proper colour of the umbilical connection from SM to CM. The KSC exhibit is white, and that appears to be the colour at launch of several examples but in space it appears to be a dark grey or possibly even silver. I'm looking through the Apollo Archive images but would appreciate any opinions.

Obviousman, whatever you do make sure the colours are sequential...

I assume you mean the cover over the umbilical between the SM and CM. If so, AS15-88-11974 shows it to match the SM, i.e, probably bare aluminum, partly discolored by the plume from the forward-firing reaction thruster just aft of it on the SM.
It does not match the CM, which was covered with what looks to be silvered mylar for thermal control.

AS15-88-11963 is a better view and matches what you say, but have a look at AS09-24-3653, and around there. I'm not sure.
