Roger Ebert tweeted the link to the following website today, and I found the first example (movie punches) especially funny. Why? Because the example they used for what a real punch sounds like was Buzz Aldrin punching Bart Sibrel. The seven most inaccurate movie sound effects

Heh.
I always feel as though I should follow Roger's tweets, but I can't bring myself to. I read and comment on the blog, though.

I enjoy reading his tweets very much. He writes so well, despite the 140 character limit. His tweets are often political (he bashes Sarah Palin and the Tea Party a lot) but he still talks about movies too.

I've read about his tweets, but I'm refusing to go down the road to Twitter-obsession at all. This week's blog was beautiful; it was about architecture. And inevitably, someone in the comments will tell him to stick to writing about movies . . . often while saying he isn't any good at that, either. Why do they read his stuff?

I read Twitter but rarely post to it... I don't see much point in updating people with every little detail or minor event in my life. It was fun reading the tweets from my friends when a 5.0 earthquake hit southern Ontario a couple of weeks ago, and the G20 summit made things interesting too. But my life is too boring for Twitter.

I can't even answer the question "So what happened this week?" without resorting to what movies I watched.

Interesting that he used Serenity as an example of correctly having silent space, when Serenity cheated during the big Reaver vs. Alliance fight by having it take place in some kind of nebula, allowing them to put in all the Star Wars-style sound effects you would expect. The show was better with this.
Personally I find the "guns click menacingly every time they are moved" bit to be the most annoying.
