It was a joke; most of us are members over there, even those who post more over here.

Bad Universe premieres on August 29 at 10pm... at least in the US. It still doesn't show up on the Canadian Discovery Channel's website, but their schedule only goes up to Aug. 28th.

I'm watching Phil's program now. So far it's been great! I don't know what he has against Sydney, Australia, though...

Hopefully now that the Canadian Discovery Channel has permission to air the show we won't have to wait as long to get the second episode.

I wonder how long I'll have to wait - good ol' blighty, well down the queue as usual!
Pity. as it sounds to be worth watching!

I'll be looking for that show in the fall. I highly recommend Phil's books - they are very entertaining. I've never read them, but I will certainly be buying his new one. I was really thinking of going to TAM this year, and wish I had now. Maybe next... but yes, I like Phil. He seems to have a good sense of humour, and anyone who makes the effort to promote science and make it accessible is a top bloke in my book. With the death of physics and chemistry departments in the UK, we need more like Phil. I don't think I could stand TAM. I mean, some people I like go there. Like the Mythbusters. Those dudes are awesome. Since I identify with mostly Agnostic Theism and Deism, I think I would feel out of place there. Especially since a lot of people from the more radical New Atheism movement attend. I think TAM is really a good place for skeptics and atheists, and while I know a good few people I like to watch on TV and read about and such go there, I don't think I'd really connect with people there. Although, I might make an exception is Neil Tyson was ever there. Best. Astronomer. Ever.
