Wasn't sure where to put this, not "Reality" or "Hoax" but moon related enough for a mention I thought?. Thumbing through Sky at Night magazine and there is an article on an upcoming drama based on H G Wells First men in the Moon. I assume it will be syndicated the around the globe? UK members obviously may benefit first. Link to BBC site, preview may not play outside the UK. clicky

Have I seen that one? I remember seeing one back in the 60's. Black and white of course.
As to being better, we shall have to wait and see. I have a big tome on the shelf, collected works of H. G. Wells, and now have the hankering to revisit. For some reason I have not opened it in over twenty years. But then it will stop the blood flowing in your legs so maybe amazon can provide a solution.
Edit. This is what you get for not looking at a book for many years, not complete but seven of the stories in one volume.

Ha! Recorded it and watched it last night. Not bad, they worked in the 1202 alarm to boot

It was great, but then I like anything by Mark Gattis. His 'History of Horror' also on the BBC is good as well.
