I forget whether I've mentioned it here, but I'm doing some post-graduate study - a Graduate Diploma in Professional Writing. During first semester I studied full-time, doing three units (proper f/t would be four units, but I was busy with impending family expansions!). This semester I'm only doing the one unit - Writing Short Narratives.
In our tutorial earlier this week, we had 5 minutes to write a lipogram - in this case a story using no words which contained the letter 'e'. Out of nowhere came this not completely factual little story...
Enjoy!
On reading it, I can see a few improvements I could make (while still using no 'e's). But I thought that wasn't bad for five minutes' work with absolutely no warning.

You could have finished with...........
Barts mouth absorbs impact, a joy for all mankind.
10/10 unless your tutor is a HB.
