I think Leonardo is actually a pretty good actor, at least in the five movies or so I've seen him in. He's certainly better than Harrison Ford or Tom Cruise. Some actors that I like aren't great actors at all, but are very entertaining.

I think Harrison Ford is a very good actor, actually. Tom Cruise . . . well, my problems with him have nothing to do with his acting, but I don't think he's a good actor, either.

I can think of a number of reasons, not the least of which is De Caprio's lack of acting ability. I thought he did a very good job in The Aviator. He moved from a driven rich Texas boy to gradually loosing his sanity to become completely obsessive compulsive as he aged. His problem is when he tries to be cute. He isn't cute, so he becomes irritating.

yes, I think so..
as for the Titanic, I think it has very good directing.. and a very sad ending. I can't but think aout those people how they died in that cold weather. it touches me at many points. Others may have different ideas..
Shreck is a good movie, although cartoon and not real.
Exhorcism of Emilie Rose is fearful.. I wouldn't call it nice. The Omen is better..

I'd like Titanic if they hadn't made up a cheesy, totally implausible story and had instead gone with one of the real tragic stories of that night; Gods know there are enough of them. (And Gods, I hate that stupid song.)

And Gods, I hate that stupid song.
Whereas My Heart Goes on is the one thing from the movie I like, though I have to admit it did get played to death at the time.

I'm so deeply annoyed that it beat "Miss Misery" for the Best Original Song Oscar that I can't put it into words. Also that the score beat an Elfman, a Williams, and a Glass.

The Destiny [Al Maseer] is anEgyptian movie that won in Kan. I liked it . It fights fanatacism and radicalism and speaks about an important philosopher [Ibin Roshd ] at that time.
there is ALIVE, the movie that depicts a true stroy where people were caught in snowy Andez Mountains. there are many good movies for Van Dam and others that shows "fighting the bad guys" and are very thrilling... I just can't remember titles...

Apparently that song is played a lot at funerals.
I didn't realise Undertakers were allowed to tout for business so aggressively... ;D

If you extract Celine Dion's voice and some other backgrounds instruments the song sounds quite nice. I like to not hear all the time.

Does anybody know anyone that has a Celine Dion CD. I certainly don't. That's okay, I have enough for us both. I also have The Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, Jewel, Enya, Meatloaf and Queen.

PeterB's topic reminded me of a good movie: Seven Years in Tibet. I loved it.
