This is a poll for my fellow Apollo Believers / Hoax Debunkers: Since most HBs seem to think that we're all crazy about the government (thus our complete and total disbelief in the possibility of the government ever doing anything wrong) I thought I'd ask this: How much do you trust the government?
I know that personally I like them out of my life as much as possible, and sometimes the fact that our current president owns 'the suitcase' scares the **** out of me. Still, I believe that Apollo was genuine not because I believe in the US government, but because there's simply no other logical explanation for all the physical evidence.

I poll Don't Like but better than anarchy mostly because I disapprove of the current system of government (UK BASED) my vote is more for government reform, however I must work within the current system, so I can only select the representative that most closely promises to represent my thoughts, and as I drink with my councilors and have drank in one seat with MPs and cabinet members with which I had very strong arguments, they were left in no doubts to which parts of their anatomy would be scattered to the winds and the ground upon which their organs fell sown with quicklime and seared by flame if they failed to represent the interests which they promised.
My political beliefs are strong, and I hold them as close to me as I do my Identity, I have been thrown out of militant political groups for my aggressiveness, and would in previous times been probably detained/shot due to my beliefs, I am a socialist (idealist communist... note Ideallist!!!)
I am stating this mostly (infact only) for the HBs that accuse me of being progovernment or a government shill, I am not an anarchist, I am not your accepted ('Mirkin) communist, I am pro-atheism, pro-tech(progression) with a grounding in socialism.
if anyone has completed political compass test, a rough idea is my score is -9.8 economic, +3 Authoritarian
I have little or no faith in a lot of current governments to represent the beliefs and ideals of the electorate as such when I get accused of being a governement agent or shill, I feel insulted not only on a personal level from my own belief, but sorry for the accuser that their view of the world and peoples belief is so narrowed through limited exposure.
I have worked (currently do) for the government (MOD and general Civil service) that does not mean I accept their actions or even agree with their politics, sometimes it is a case of lesser of several evils.
I will discuss politics in person in a social manner (an exchange of ideas over a pint, and am well known for some of my beliefs) , but not in (this) forum.

Personally, I lean towards libertarianism. I don't think it's a completely realistic ideal or party, but I consider it better than the current bipartisan hackery we have to deal with in the states right now. As for my political experience, if you will, I actually took an economics class in college from one of my city's city councilmen/mayors (we're on a weird rotation system where everyone on the 5-member council is mayor briefly) and I've had talks with a few other of my state reps etc. Not sure if it really affects my views, but I also was in the US Army briefly as an airframe repairer (I did good work but I messed up my knee, can't run long distance anymore - anybody need an airframe mechanic by the way?). No, I didn't tour in the ME although I was scheduled to go to Korea right before my discharge.

I think the government works pretty well, actually. I do also, however, believe that it's populated with a fair share of people who are not competent to hold office--the more so these days. (We can't fire the ethnic guy!) It's a human system. It's imperfect. Welcome to the real world.

I voted "most of the time" since th egov majority is from the 14 march bloc that I agree with. That doesn't mean, as voted, that they are always right.

I'm with Churchil on this one:
"Democracy is the worst form of Government, except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

How could I vote "most of the time they know what's best" or higher when the Democrats are in control of Congress and constantly trying to undermine national security to score political points?

I hate talking politics because it's always so frustrating. I always vote for the Green Party now.

Let's see... So far, 70% don't trust the government that much and 30% 'mostly' do. Doesn't sound like brainwashed masses to me.
"Democracy is the worst form of Government, except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
Too true.

The HBs will probably counter these statistics as "Most ABs voted 'I don't like them' so that this argument/poll can't be used against the Apollo Believers." or something. Understandable logic. Understandable, but not necessarily true.

Which government? I have rather different opinions on my (NZ) government and the US one.

Which government? I have rather different opinions on my (NZ) government and the US one. I'm going to go with the US, since the US gov't seems to be the prime evildoer according to most of the Hoax Theories I've heard, although some of them like to implicate Russia a lot too.

I vote for "Don't like 'em, better than anarchy".
But that's not the reason I accept Apollo as fact. I accept it, because it's supported by science.

I was just curious how much people trusted the government since HBs always claim that ABs/debunkers are either paid disinformation agents or blind sheeple who'll believe anything the gubmint says.
