I am sick of this place. You are all idiots, and lunar orbit is the biggest idiot of all. Does it make you feel importent to be an admin? This is bullsh*t, anyone can do it. When you try to pick up girls in bars and tell them you are the administrator, are they impressed? Or do they call you a pathetic looser? You are a joke. It is not posible to have intelligent discussion in your playgroup, people are too illogicial and beleive in ridiculous supersticions. I will not waist anymore time here, it is hopeless, you people do not want to think, there are things in the world and the universe that make you uncomfortable, so you make up nice stories to make yourselves feel better. You are pathetic.

The data released Sunday cover attacks using car bombs, roadside bombs, mines, mortars, rockets, surface-to-air missiles and small arms. According to the statistics, roughly 575 attacks occurred last week.Isn't somebody just kidding themselves? I don't comment too much about your war, but I'm hardly optimistic about the whole situation. I'd sure like to be though...

You have to understand that the New York Times has been anti-war since the beginning, and even they have to admit the surge is working. "Nonetheless, the figures added to a body of evidence, compiled by American and Iraqi officials, indicating that the violence had diminished significantly since the United States reinforced troop levels in Iraq and adopted a new counterinsurgency strategy." "Since the violence has decreased in Baghdad people have begun trickling back into cafes and streets in the hope that the calm will last. Two weeks ago, Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki said the dip in violence had allowed 7,000 families to return to Baghdad, though it was not clear how he arrived at that figure."

I think the media is trying to prove that it would have shown good things if they existed, even though anyone with a basic education knows otherwise. I hate the media. Blah!

Even John Murtha, who has been one of the most vocal Congressmen against the Iraq war for years, has now admitted that "I think the surge is working".

It is just the oddest thing seeing Bill Thompsons post all over the place.

How did he do it to all his old posts at once? Can you edit fifty posts at a time?

I don't think he did them all at the same time, the timestamps aren't the same. He probably used his profile to bring up his most recent posts and then edited them one at a time... copying & pasting doesn't take that long.
Edited to add: If he did find a way to edit 50 posts at once then Proboards wouldn't be too happy about that. I'm pretty sure they would consider that "hacking" their software and if could have legal consequences for Bill. But like I said, I don't think that's what he did.

I guess they do vary, but they are only a few minutes apart. He must have worked pretty fast to edit 48 of them in so short a time.

You could cut and paste all fifty of them BEFORE you post them. Once they're ready you just start firing them off. POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) POST REPLY (click) and so on.... Would need a fast machine to have fifty open at once though.

This has to be one of the most bizarre bannings that's ever happened here. There have been some temper tantrums, insults, vague threats and offensive images, but never anything like this I imagine.

I kind of miss him. I kind of don't miss him. He seemed genuinely inquisitive some days, other days he was just offensive. Strange.

Positive signs in Iraq this week include the British handing control of Basra over to the Iraqi government (meaning the Iraqi government now has full control over half of the country), violence having fallen to the lowest levels since the 2003 invasion, and Al Qaeda's second in command releasing a videotape criticizing the "traitors" who are cooperating with the Americans - a good sign that Al Qaeda is in trouble.
The Surge has lead to real progress - in short, it's working.
