guess what I put a a reference another reference stated in the article I read. I put it as a separate reference. Theteacher sent me an email she wnts to read that other texture, so I confessed that I took the reference from the reference list of the article, which according to me, shouldn't be a problem. I will see what she says.

Listewm Dead Hoosier I have made it clear that Islam forbids this practice. Islam does not forbid this practice. Had Islam (the Koran) forbidden it, it wouldn't have been done. It's only recently that some areas are beginning to frown on the practice--not forbid it. Do you know what Christianity is? It's what Jesus taught. If any group or individual refuses to follow Him, they forfeit the right to call themselves disciples--yet they do--and people believe them. Why? Because they're too indifferent to look for themselves what constitutes a Christian. You also are confused about the Protestants. It's the Catholic Church that murdered millions.

Yes! Preach to us lost souls, Hoosier! Teach us the ways of the LORD!
I mean, YOUR religion is obviously without blemish, and has caused no problems whatsoever, and is the one moral choice.
Just like every other religious fundamentalist claims their religion is the "right" one.

What knowledge have you about Muslims and what the Koran says? I have asked Muslims, who know better what their religion says.
About the behaviour, you should have been in Lebanon in the civil war to see what all religions did. Christians were very fierceful in the name of their religion, and for the sake to protect christians. Chopping people, torturing them, really very ugly things done. They showed no difference than other sects so realize that from every religion, there are people who don't follow exactly what is written in the text. Sometimes they come up with their own explanations. You are a believer in science. You do know that Galileo was prosecuted by the Catholic church. Do you as a christian agree on that? No, I suppose. Similarly, many Muslims are against what is happening in Iraq. They consider Alzarqawi to be a terrorist, not a true follower of their religion.

Hey Hoosier, are you saying that Catholics aren't 'True Christians'? I bet they would argue with that.

Hey Hoosier, are you saying that Catholics aren't 'True Christians'? I bet they would argue with that. People do the same thing in politics. They compare an idealized, theoretical, never-observed-in-practice ideology against its real-world competitors, complete with blemishes. If you want to advocate communism, just disown Stalin et. al., who were obviously not real communists. If you want to advocate capitalism, just disown the rather corrupt crony forms found in many countries. It makes about as much sense to do this in politics as it does in religion...

Hey Hoosier, are you saying that Catholics aren't 'True Christians'? I bet they would argue with that. Well if you go by the idea that a "Christian" is a follower of Christ, and that a "True Christian" is one that follows scripture in the form of the Bible, then they might argue, but most of them would lose.

The problem with all religions is that the members are all human beings ... Jesus would have endorsed neither the situation in Northern Ireland, nor the Crusades, nor any of the other atrocities committed by Christians (of which I am one) in the name of their Lord.
