As I've said elsewhere, if you're the only girl at the barndance, you don't have to be pretty.
I vascillate between wishing I could sit down with Margamatix and share a few pints, and wanting to kick him in the ankle. So, Margamatix, what's your favorite brew? Maybe someday we could pretend were in a pub together.

I for one will confess a fondness for Guiness Stout.
Now that I accused margamatix of American-bashing in another thread, I'll join in:
Q: Why is American beer like making love in a canoe? A: Becuase it's f***ing close to water.
Happily, exceptions abound. The problem is, it's mighty hard to get Alaskan Amber on the East Coast.
Oh, and as for "why"? I 'spose it's because margamatix came out to play after a somewhat prolonged absence.

I was in the UK for two years. Came back to the states, had no desire to drink "beer," as the insipid stuff seemed like a waste of money in comparison to beer in the UK. Then the "micro-brew" revolution happened and we can now get good stuff. I now usually drink beer brewed about two miles from here.

I tried to talk him out of it, but I guess he thought the forum was taking up too much of his free time.

I think he just had enough of certain thick-skulled and insulting individuals.

In fact, I think he was upset that none of you recognised the sheer brilliance of his insight and the power of his deductive skills, thus allowing me to continue peddling my evil videos, like a drug dealer selling crack to schoolchildren
Hahahahahahahaha.......

In case I missed something - what is the point of this thread? Some conspiratorial significance in the number 20? Or what?

No, I think it's just that some people can't tell any difference between quantity and quality
