Naturally, I don't include in the last paragraph Lunar Orbit, who justifiably commented on Moon Man's rule-breaking.

Please, a little more respect for Count Zero's wonderful rant. If you don't intend commenting on it, please post elsewhere.

Moon Man has been welcomed here and quite a few people have bent over backwards to be courteous and helpful to him, so I cannot for the life of me understand why he and a few others sometimes behave like Moon Man has. Is it bad manners? Stupidity? Self-righteousness? Ego-tripping? The effect of drink or drugs?

Why do some people have difficulties with a few rules about decent, respectful, sensible behaviour towards our fellow human beings?

See the "?" in Kiwi's quote? That makes it a question, not a statement.

If I ask whether a pilot who crashed his plane was drunk I am not saying I believe he was, I'm just asking a question.

It's the same in Kiwi's case, he wasn't saying anyone was drunk or using drugs, he was asking if they are. So your proper response is to simply say "no" or to ignore him since he didn't even mention you by name.

In fact he was not referring to me but has made identical ad hominem statements about myself in the past. He has now repeated these statements about another member- accusations about alcohol abuse seems to be a recurring theme here- and further, he has implied that the member is drugged. This is libellous, and the use of a question mark does nothing to diminish this libel. If Kiwi makes any further posting suggesting that another member holds the views he does because of alcohol or drug abuse, I will report it to ProBoards.

On the BAUT forums, Moon Man had basically said, "I'm drunk; what's your excuse?" or something similar. I can't access the BAUT forums at the moment for some reason, so I don't have an exact quote.

Margamatix, can you please focus on actually making some coherent arguments instead of nitpicking? You seem like you know how to talk in a way that sounds intellectual; how about you show us that there's actually content behind it in the arguments on the board?
