Hmmm....maybe some of the astronauts themselves were fooled? Nope. No chance whatsoever. A set... with 1/6th gravity. Sure.

The contestants on Space Cadets were specifically choice for their stupidity. I mean come on, they were told that they'd still have gravity because they were going to be in "near space." It's easy to fool morons, not so easy to fool people who where test pilots and have had engineering training (look at the qualifications of the astronauts.)

Remember, “reality” TV is still artificial, just with bad acting.

Surely you are not serious, Rusty... Three people without any background in flying, or physics, or engineering. And, as PW pointed out, ignorant (let's be charitable) enough to think that they'd still have a 1G environment in orbit?
Are you really comparing these three naive and undereducated not-so-geniuses to the test pilots and engineers and scientists of Apollo?

point of fact, even the people in this show probably know what the deal is, they just want to be on TV.
As echnaton pointed out, "reality" TV isn't reality.

No, the Apollo astronauts knew exactly what they were doing which is why they always look so ashamed of themselves.

Bob, I'm getting "web site not available" from your links I know, they won't work if you click on them. There's nothing I can do about that -- it has something to do with the Web site. You have to either (1) copy and paste the URL into your Web browser and go to the site that way, or (2) click on the following link and then find the referenced images in the list. www.apolloarchive.com/apollo/gallery/

If you just click on the links, it doesn't work. If you follow Bob's instructions and copy/paste the addresses to your browser, then you can see the pictures. Oddly enough, when I then return to this BB, I can now see the images in Sts60's post.

The contestants on Space Cadets were specifically choice for their stupidity. The general public were specifically counted on for their general stupidity.
