The picture is of an astronaut going down (or coming up) the LM ladder, the other astronaut (who took the picture) is inside the LM looking out the hatch.
I don't see anything resembling a man (other than the astronaut going down the ladder). The object on the right of the picture is part of the LM, possibly the hatch but I'm not sure.

I don't know what it is, but the thing itself is not a man, as seen in AS12-46-6716 and AS12-46-6717. Most likely a reflection which looks man-shaped. It doesn't really look man-shaped to me, if you ask me.

Oh yes! I see what you mean now.
It looks like the left half of one of those Zulu masks or something.
<tongue-in-cheek mode on> Perhaps it is evidence of the moon's previous inhabitants? <tongue-in-cheek mode off>

That is really cool. After a few seconds of looking at it I saw right half of a face. It appears to be highly stylized, bronze colored face with African features. You can see a forehead, eyes, nose, partly open mouth, and a chin. What it is however is the folds of the insulation lining crawl space outside the LM. Look at this high res picture AS12-46-6725 of Alan Bean egress. You can see the material wrapped around the area surrounding the porch.

It took me a while, but I see it now. It looks like one of those Easter Island statues...
A few weeks ago, I was driving on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at night, and my headlights reflected off the back of a large truck traveling ahead of me. I was convinced there was a face (really a head and shoulders) painted on the back of the truck. My passenger agreed. As we got closer, though, we could see it was a combination of various stickers on the back, the funky textured pattern of the material making up the doors, and the particular pattern of depressions and indentations on the door, making the light reflect differently from different parts.
Strange. I wish I had a camera with me, but I didn't...

After further research, I came to the following conclusion. First, I extracted the sole face. Then, I named all the facial elements. A man came to my mind. This man. It's true: a subliminal hidden message brought over by the LEM that has something to do with Tito, from Nickelodeon's Rocket Power. Woah, I didn't know it was THAT easy to see things. The power of imagination is rising.

A few years ago people claimed they could see the image of the Virgin Mary in the frost that formed on the inside of the glass door of a display freezer*. in Jersy City, NJ. People came from miles around to see the 'miracle'. The scientific explanation was that the formation was normal and that the resemblance to the Virgin Mary was coincidental and a product of the power of suggestion. The neighborhood was overwhelmingly Latino and many people esp. those who weren't Catholic though the frost resembled something else. * or it might have been condensation on the door a refrigerator, I can't remember. I hope you would have had your passenger take the photo or you might have had the very dubious honor of becoming a Darwin Award nominee

Why is it that supreme beings who are all powerful and could communicate to us in our own native languages choose not to do so? Instead they opt for cryptic signs and portents all of which can be easily confused with natural phenomena. There was a case in the UK where a Muslim family saw the word Allah (in Arabic) when they cut open an aubergine (eggplant). I mean, there you are, an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent being and you chose to communicate to humanity through vegetables. A bit like aliens and crop circles I suppose.

I hope they charged to see it ;D Well, thanks for the compliment...but as I didn't have the camera with me, it doesn't matter...
