The zero-phase albedo of an Apollo space suit is approximately 80%.

I was being sarcastic.
Taking pictures of the stars with the equipment they had was not possible if there was something bright in the field of view, like a dazzling white space suit!
It's simple photographic exposures which has been explained to you many times!

Yes, that's interesting too. Although in this case we can't know for sure. Yes, we can; the exposure issues were worked out quantitatively for you long ago. You may ignore them, but that doesn't mean they're not there. We still have to quantify how intense the light reflected from the moon's surface in any direction is.No, you do. It's your claim. If you can't make a quantitative estimate, you have literally no idea what you're talking about. However, it certainly is strange that they never even tried to take a picture of themselves with the stars or the earth in the background. That would be a precious souvenir, wouldn't it?Wrong again. Well thanks, I don't remember seeing this one. However, that's a good candidate for a joke photo, too. Who is in that "space" suit, and what is wrong with that earth again? I've never seen a terminator line like that on the moon. Compare to the Salame picture.

You keep using these words. I do not think that they mean what you think they mean.
Quack. Quack. ;D

a quick googling reveals that it's Harrison Schmitt in the suit.
What exactly is wrong with the terminator?

I've never seen a terminator line like that on the moon. Compare to the Salame picture. The ALSJ says it's Jack Schmitt. You seem to have a thing about terminators. Your mangled English is difficult to follow sometimes (no offence meant, it is certainly better than my command of your native tongue). Do you mean that " I've never seen a terminator line like that from the moon"? Please state what you think is wrong with it.

Yes, I guess that is what I meant to write.

b Just recently the old grouch complained that I was boring and he wanted back Moonman. But you are boring. Many have come through here before, who talk like you, but who do it much better; and there will be many others who come after you stalk off to some other board where you proclaim your great imaginary victory here. If you can't do anything else of value, at least try to be entertaining to your betters. (I have already suggested this site as a more appropriate place for you - there's a fellow there with 15 PhDs, you'll fit right in. Or have you been unable to cut it there as well?) Also, still waiting for an answer - were you lying about receiving a physics degree twenty years ago, or are you older than I am? Perhaps you are both - old liars have been known to exist. Lunar Orbit, would we be able to give stargazer a special rank of "Old Grouch"? He seems to very fond of the phrase.

Well thanks, I don't remember seeing this one.
"I don't remember seeing this one". Of course not, because you haven't studied the Apollo program, or spaceflight in general, or engineering or physics beyond what you failed to absorb in high school (or equivalent). You had just said they never even tried to take such a photograph.
However, that's a good candidate for a joke photo, too.
Reflexive, unreasoning rejection noted. The all-purpose backup when evidence is presented. "They never took such a picture!" - picture shown - "That picture's faked!"
Who is in that "space" suit,
I'll do your work for you, again: Harrison Schmitt, a geologist. Of course, like all geologists and physicists and engineers and any other expert who disagrees with you, he was in on the fake, right?
and what is wrong with that earth again?
Nothing is wrong with it. And "again" is meaningless, because you have yet to demonstrate that anything is wrong with any of the images discussed so far; the only proper context for that word here is that you are waving your hands again.
I've never seen a terminator line like that on the moon.
The terminator is on the Earth, not the Moon. And it looks just like a terminator should look. You'd know that, if you learned anything about the subject.
Compare to the Salame picture.
I did. The Earth and the terminator look the same [add: in both pictures]. Did you have a point?

By the way, you may have dropped it like a hot potato, but your especially egregious assertion about the "spotlights" has not been forgotten.

I respectfully disagree. www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/apollo/images/browse/AS16/107/17446.jpgThis is tourist photography. Fighter pilots, yes, except for Jack Schmitt. Rocket Jockeys, yes. Scientists, no, except for Jack. But were they tourists? Yes. They flew in from far away, littered, collected souveniers, took mediocre pictures, and went away never to return. Where I live we call them tourists. {spelling, larger copy of image}
