I have a question about hot spots. or the way the images are brighter in the center and get dimmer towards the edges. Is this caused by the lunar dust itself only reflecting light basically straight back to the lens, I hope someone knows what I mean I don't know the technical term for it.
Edited to add. Heiligenschein. I think I found the answer myself. ;D

Hey, Jarrah White popped in there. In this thread he has an incredible personal attack on Jay, accusing him of all sorts of things which personally I feel to be more applicable to Jarrah himself.

I think I found the answer myself. ;D Normally due to water droplets in mist, it occurs with moon dust because, under a microscope, the stuff can be seen to contain a lot of small glass spheres, which are due to impact spattered molten rock droplets solidifying. Transparent spheres reflect light back the way it came, which is why they work as road "cat's eyes".

He never learns. He has been attacking Jay Windley repetitively over at the Brickfilms forums where we debated. If you can't attack the message, attack the messenger.

Yes, he got kicked off the Yahoo forum for such behavior. He has an absolutely vitriolic hatred of me personally, which is why there's no point in me talking to him.

Has it ever been established whether Jarrah White and Interdimensional Warrior are the same person? I know that was the leading hypothesis at one time, but I don't recall if it was confirmed, dismissed, or still undetermined.

Jarrah appears to be one disturbed individual. The rants and attacks on Jay are emblazened with hatred that defies explanation. The guy would happily hang, draw and quater Jay, and then worry about the charge later.

Wow. Mr White must be neglecting his meds.... what a deranged rant I liked this bit:- And to be brutally honest, people who know me personally applaud my actions. Must be hard to clap in a straightjacket, I would have thought... takes all sorts I suppose

Check this. Jarrah White's version of orbital mechanics.

Its too bad White removed the orbit explanation to make corrections. Seems he has to find a new way to make express his beliefs. One would like to have seen him know the facts before commenting on them, but that may to much to ask.

Someone needs to (try to) explain sun synch orbits to Jarrah there... (EDIT...it appears that I missed Jarrah's "scenario"... does he have it orbiting the Earth in a little circle at the pole? Was this his "polar orbit" If so, maybe the laws have changed and maybe we ought to go by that rope and tie ourselves to the nearest tree as we may well get flung into space!) IIRC, a geosynch orbit will not keep a satellite in daylight over any piece of sky on the planet, it just keeps the satellite stationary in the sky as seen from the ground. It also won't keep it lined up with the Moon as seen from any point on Earth. I think the only way to simulate a translunar craft is to actually have one that does it. I cannot see how one would put a craft in Earth orbit that would a) remain in daylight, as well as b) remain in a general alignment on an Earth Moon trajectory. As the kids on my bus would say..."Mr Jarrah, you're wierd"...

Its too bad White removed the orbit explanation to make corrections. Did anyone get a screenshot or perhaps cache it? It sounded pretty funny, I'd like to see it. I did notice this little gem of orbital mechanics: "the circumference of the Earth is 25000 miles: this makes it easy for us to divide how much of this circumference is facing the sun and how much is in darkness: 12,500 miles each. This means travelling at 24000mph, making a full orbit, a spacecraft will zip across the darkened side of the Earth once every hour," I wonder how old he is?

Oh, my...just found the "next page", that 24000mph orbit argument belongs right next to Sam Colby's NASAScam orbital mechanics "theory".
Wow!!!! That is absolutely breathtaking! (I just registered over there...gonna become a "headbanger"...)
This Jarrah is....amazing.

Did anyone get a screenshot or perhaps cache it? It sounded pretty funny, I'd like to see it. Afraid not. It was a quite professional looking graphic of the earth and the Van Allan belts, with a little "orbit" added in - low altitude to keep below the belts and "polar" in the sense that the ground track was more or less the arctic circle.
