Let's not forget I'm the one with the physics degree . How about we get a real in-depth debate here between physicists? No dumbing it down for the layman, just good old hard-core physics with supporting evidence? Are you up to a debate with another physicist? On a topic that deals specifically with physics, so that neither person can say it is not in their field? I am not a physicist, never have been I am a computing lecturer as I have said before. I have a physics degree from a long time ago.

I just want to be able to reply to stuff on here in the manner I choose. Rudely and condescendingly? Is asking you to be polite too much of a burden for you?

Oh, help, there's no Google video! How can I possibly make an argument now?
Your problem is that you are trying to reduce a real-world situation to a word problem. When you simplify it enough ("Moving close to the light makes shadow big") you then think you can apply that simplification to a different real-world situation.
Get away from hands and desk lamps. They are only confusing you. (And I pause to note the incredible insult and truly astonishingly phenomenological veiwpoint that thinks that watching a video of a man with a desk lamp is superior to actually, you know, moving your own hand in front of a desk lamp). The geometry of the lunar images you refer to is clear. It can be replicated, at scale, or with smaller in-scale props. The abstraction of a desk light and a hand is TOO abstracted. Create the scene using GI Joe dolls and a flashlight. Or model it in 3d. Or reduce it to two dimensions and draw it on a piece of paper. You will -- it seems! -- be astonished at what you find.

Yes it is when I am being virulently and venomously insulted. If you (or anyone else) behave properly you will be treated with total respect on MSN.

How about a debate between you and someone else with a physics degree limited to and concentrating on factors that you dispute and is within the field of both persons? You'll need to specify your field of expertise (optical, nuclear, etc) so that we can be sure that both people have the required training in the discipline.

Sure, on the apollo hoax subject in the MSN forum. You know where it is. I don't have a field of expertise in physics. I have a degree in physics because my family thought I would get a job or something. I should have done Eng Lit. from the start modus operandi apollo hoax groups.msn.com/Moonhoax/general.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=1308

Yes it is when I am being virulently and venomously insulted. You came here and immediately began insulting us. Why would you expect to not be insulted in return? And if you behave properly you will be treated with respect here. But if all you want to do is insult our intelligence then go away and enjoy the silence over at your MSN Group.

That is not the case in my experience of either this forum or Bad Astronomy. The overhelming and truly incredible main characteristic of these places is the level of insulting and demeaning behaviour even when there is no one present to insult !!

So I was wrong. You are just a common Troll. Clear off to msn then. Plenty of adoring fans to hang on your every word there, and only mere techicians to stand against you. I still feel that you will be outclassed, if only by the regulars on the board, even in comedy terms. Isn't there anyone in HB land out there that has a clue ( excluding our regulars, of course - hi chaps!)?

So why are you still here if you feel insulted or demeaned? No one is forcing you to read this forum. If you feel the main characteristic of this forum is that we are insulting or demeaning then you are free to leave. I suspect that, like Spongebob, you are here for a fight. If that's the case then you're nothing but a troll. Go back to your MSN Group where you can continue to talk to yourself in peace.

It's absolutely true, there is a very bizarre cult of virulent techno geeks who support the poor defenceless US government against hoax believers. They hang out on Bad Astronomy and Clavius telling each other how stupid hoax believers are. They follow Phil Plait and Jay Windley (aka (Jay Utah).
I used to believe they were paid by NASA ( Windley is a major government and military contracter insider and and Plait works for NASA). They aren't, they just stupid technician class people who enjoy tearing those they disagree with to pieces and showing off their knowledge. It's really easy to recognise on the simple basis of social class. Their horrible low life behaviour, obsession with facts and the complete conviction they are always correct gives the game away .
To prove this I created an identity on the Clavius forum called Greig Dempsey. I behaved like a TOTAL a-hole and accused them of being technicians who were skiving from work and I challenged them on technical issue. It turns out that's exactly what they are because they didn't challenge me on that. I did this in response to the message on this thread daring me to do so. I haven't posted this because I no longer want any contact with these creatures. Your reply seemed like a good opportunity for closure.
apollohoax.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=theories
Both the NASA defenders on here are indeed technicans who are skiving from work and who behave in accordance with their social class noted above (they have repuslive manners). In reality I am a former lecturer who used to supervise technicians as part of my job. I have a maths /science degree and a postgrad in computing from a top of the range UK university when standards were much higher than now. I was also top in English Lit at said university one year.
I use humour to rip the geeks to pieces because they are ALWAYS and I mean always obnoxious so I become super obnoxious on moon hoax forums . It's a shield. It is also down to being persecuted not only by the geeks but the moderators on their forums. Pretty charming post. I'll not dignify you with any other responses. If you don't want any more contanct, why are you still online here? I can assure you my degrees are real, as stated in a thread I bumped for you in another section of the forum. Pete Pete

Insulting us from the safety of your MSN Group isn't any wiser than insulting us here. And what, exactly, does "obsession with facts" mean, anyway? Is it supposed to be a bad thing?
I behaved like a TOTAL a-hole
No kidding. Nice of you to admit it.
I haven't posted this because I no longer want any contact with these creatures.
I can help you with that. Bye bye!

Oh, boo-hoo. "I'm being wrongfully persecuted because I don't believe the moon landings really happened!". Typical hoax believer delusions. You are being banned because, in your own words, you're being an a-hole. I couldn't care less that you don't believe the moon landings really happened.
If you seriously wanted to discuss the moon hoax theory you would have been far more successful if you had merely been polite. Other hoax believers have managed to do this, why can't you?

My goodness that guy was a bit over the top. I really don't understand his mentality about being super obnoxious as a shield. That's pretty dumb in my opinion. I don't think I'll ever understand how the mind of an HB works, it's truly bizzar.
