Um, the other astronaut using his own camera. Apollo 11 was the only mission with only one lunar surface camera.

Um, the other astronaut using his own camera. Apollo 11 was the only mission with only one lunar surface camera. (Sticks head in sand and whimpers...) There is only one astronaut in that photograph. Nope, I'm not seeing an astronaut in the visor. Nope, only one moon man here. Not seeing anything. Nope, nothing... la de da...

I'm at a loss showtime. You claim to be well versed in identifying all things amiss in Apollo photos and yet you need to ask who took the photo? Can't you at least try to be thorough? Research beyond the HB parrot factory might be a good start.

You could at least have Moses point towards the camera to give us a hint of the argument to come.

Apollo 11 was the only mission with only one lunar surface camera.
Actually just to confuse the issue, while they started with two camera, Al Bean broke his at the start of the second EVA and so they had to complete the mission with just the one as well.
(Al had awful luck with the cameras. He broke the TV camera and his Hasselblad then got wacked in the head by the DAC)

"Cheer up!" they said, "It could be worse!" So I did, and it was.

Maybe that's one reason behind his taking up painting after he got back...

Remember there's only a few pictures of Armstrong on the Moon because he had the camera most of the time. Reason being is Armstrong was the most proficient with the equipment. HB's make something else out of this fact some thing to do with Aldrin refusing to take pictures of Armstrong believing he should have been the first to exit the LEM. You can see it cant you "yes Mr administrator i will go second but i refuse to take any pictures of him".

Bert, that picture IS from Apollo 12, which kind of suggests they had two on that mission....
