The "documentary" was faked on earth, edited without providing provenience.
I'm watching it now (slowly and in chunks, it's taking forever to download) and so far every time this Collier guy opens his mouth, something stupid comes out.
I'm hoping that your knowlege base of the Apollo program is deeper than just this one "film."

Please don't spread it around.
BTW, word to the wise for other debunkers: the real LunarOrbit is on again today, not the AI, so watch yourselves.

Greig:
I've found the search function here to be sub-par. Try just looking at page 5 of the "hoax theory" area.
PM me if you want more information.

"They" come to you. Then you can't hide.
After the "shadow" thread I received several threats from the secret society that runs it. That's why I backed off for a while - I didn't want to get the dreaded "turnip in the tailpipe" warning.
And now I've got a private message from "control" telling me to back off. So I will.
I don't want to be sent to "searing radiation hell."

You've already voiced your distain for reading back-posts, but I can recommend the thread "shadow of a rock."
I'm one of the "paid debunkers" you sometimes hear about on conspiracy sites, but I'm rather tired of it, and I've come "out." I can tell you all kinds of stuff about the REAL way the hoax was commited, stuff the Hoax Believers couldn't even guess about.
All the other debunkers here will deny all of it, of course.

As I've posted elsewhere in this forum, the fake moon dirt used in the Nevada set was was composed of a mixture of volcanic ash from Mexico, and industrial waste, including fiberglass particles to achieve the halo effect.
Apollo 14 and 15 were filmed in an underground cavern set. Apollo 11 was a real fly-by, with ground footage shot in Nevada on a smaller set; 12 was shot in several locations including a volcanic crater in Oaxaca, Mexico, and from 16 on they were filming at a set in Siberia, easier to keep cool. Canceling the later missions was part of a deal with Kruschev.

The people who discuss religion in those threads are intelligent, articulate, and very strong in their respective beliefs. They obviously enjoy discussing their beliefs with other intelligent and articulate people.
The overall culture of this forum is polite, respectful, and honest. It's a self-selecting population group. People who don't fit into the dominant culture stop posting. Like any self-selecting population, everyone came in from a different direction and point of origin, but they keep coming back for what the group as a whole has to offer.
Heck, even I still read here! I don't give a rat's left leg about lens flare debates, and I don't have the intellectual energy right now to discuss faith issues with Jason and DH, but I check in once in a while to see how everyone is doing.
Self-selecting groups are very interesting. I've been reading a blog, and it's okay, but the really interesting thing is that the comments have become a single-thread forum of sorts. There are about half a dozen regular posters. The discussions in it have very little to do with the content of the blog entries. There's even a 9-11 conspiracy guy!
BTW, inconceivable: Patriot Act has nothing to do with it. Even if the "evil gub'mint" had time to read every thread of every forum on the web, they'd still goof it up.

Thanks, guys! I've been wondering what y'all looked like. I have images in my mind, but they never match up with reality.... Here's one of me for instance. At drill this weekend.

First, I would like to remind everyone the the US Department of Energy was in charge of building . . . nukes.
The rocket itself is a missile, so it's going to be defense stuff.
Interestingly, it's a Chinese-made Scud derivitive, which was derived from the V2's captured by the Russians, so this is a descendent of Werner's handiwork.
So it's obviously a hoax.

I read many years ago about this, and a related item involving a certain kind of epileptic seizure - not a spastic "grand mal" seizure, but more subtle, in the patient either feels that they are God or are in contact with God. They named the area of the brain affected the "god module," and if memory serves, they were able to activate it directly. Here's a random google link that mentions the study. www.iol.ie/~afifi/BICNews/Health/health19.htmAnyway, it makes me wonder about all of the great Judeo-Christreligious figures in history - how many of them were experiencing some kind of epilectic or drug related effect? Ergot poisoning specifically is suspected for many of the Old Testament/Torah prophecies. Thanks, I'll stick to agnostic buddhism. I can experience for myself everything advertised. edit for idiotic typo

I figured it was preemptive filtering to minimize the workload on the servers. After every use of the word "Astron0t" several people are going to respond with "dumba$$," wasting valuable internet bandwidth.
BTW, LO, it seems rude to have "outed" Spongebob like that. Not rude to him, I mean rude to those of us that like playing "spot the sock."
