"Shy" clearly wasn't the right word. And no, Laurel, you weren't wrong; SDI was Reagan.

If the Saturn V couldn't launch, what did all those people see taking off?

Why? What knowledge base do you have to form an expectation on?

You don't know what peer review is, then.

How about you address the very, very basic point that you are wrong about where, when, and how the photos were released?

So You Have No Peer Review Then...Interesting...!!! What forums are peer-reviewed? Peer review is a different thing than online bulletin boards. You do know that, right?

I didn't say everyone. Nor did I say "ran toward"; no one with sense runs toward a shooter with a rifle. They run where they think they'll be safe. That they ran to the grassy knoll indicates quite strongly that they didn't think there was a shooter there. But, yes, there is plenty of footage and plenty of photographs of people pointing toward the Depository. But you won't find that on conspiracy-themed websites, because it doesn't fit the story they want to tell.
And you clearly don't know what you're talking about, since one of the things you can see in the Zapruder film is a Secret Service agent climbing onto the Presidential limo to help Jackie. I think I'm done with you.

Oh, and we've crashed probes onto comets. So there's that.

I am a US citizen, though that is irrelevant to what I believe or don’t believe when it comes to space technology and history. I look at facts and use science to draw my conclusions. I know that. But they don't always, and the blind assumption that everyone who acknowledges the factual nature of Apollo is American needs to be punctured in some people.

[Because The American Laziness In It's Usage Of The English Language Is Appalling... You mean "its." To be perfectly blunt, I didn't read the stuff you put in turquoise. I assume that you want to have a reasonable, intellectual conversation. In order to do that, you will be expected to obey certain rules. You will be expected to present your evidence in a clear, rational fashion. This will include doing the math where math is required and citing your sources when you use them. For preference, you will format like an adult, not a twelve-year-old girl. This means you don't need to use colours, bold, or too many capitals. Which is what you are currently doing. We will show you respect when you show that you deserve it. You know what? I am an American. And I'm not the one being lazy with language. If you're being this lazy with language, why should we trust your science? It's all about intellectual rigour.

JIf you believe it fooled "everyone" for decades your delusional. It may have fooled those that had to believe it couldn't have been a coup or those that still trusted everything the government said. It sure in hell didn't fool Bobby Kennedy. Actually, Bobby Kennedy believed until the day he died that Lee Harvey Oswald had killed his brother. He knew LBJ was corrupt, and he certainly didn't like him very much, but he also knew that wasn't enough to accuse someone of murder. You still needed physical evidence. Did you know that, at the Texas Schoolbook Depository, there were dozens of people in and out? That many of the boxes had been other places? That there were plenty of opportunities for people who had nothing to do with the assassination to put fingerprints on boxes? Where did he get Wallace's print? Do you know how vanishingly unlikely it is that any print would be 34-point? I mean, you could take two fingerprints of a person in rapid succession, and they probably wouldn't be 34-point matches. Especially if they were on different surfaces. After all, the tips of your fingers aren't rigid, and as they move, they leave different-looking impressions. Maybe it didn't. Maybe your "retired fingerprint expert" was wrong. Or, hardly unusual, lying because he wanted there to be a conspiracy. A lot of people do that, I'm sure you'll be shocked to know. So okay. You don't believe that Oswald did it. You believe that E. Howard Hunt did it. Why him and not James Files, who also confessed? And before you post more of your links, check out this page. Most of your "evidence" appears on it. mcadams.posc.mu.edu/bogus.htm

For heaven's sake, I have books from the early '70s which are full of Apollo pictures. I have dozens of the things around here, and my collection is quite small.

To be fair pointing out someone's spelling mistakes or sloggy grammar on an internet forum is thought of to be poor form. It depends on the forum. In certain fora--like this one--it is considered poor form not to use the best spelling and grammar you can. It is important to spell technical terms and people's names correctly, so they can be looked up by other people. Correcting the spelling of that for other readers is, frankly, just polite.

Just to clarify something, how many of the engineers participating in this thread are US citizens? Or, since it was specified that there's a world "across the water," do Canadian citizens count to our new friend as the same thing?

Please learn the difference between hearsay and evidence. Remember, dozens of corroborating witnesses who are unrelated to each other also say three shots were fired from the Schoolbook Depository. What's your response to them?
