Hagbard, Would you please explain the LRO photos of the six landing sites? Also explain how the Japanese terrain camera managed to replicate the terrain almost exactly at one site. Hint: Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer!

Thanks, everyone. When I was young(er) , I felt that the CMP was just a "tag-along". I have come to the realization that, if the LM was only able to achieve a low lunar orbit upon return, it would be up to the CMP to go down and rescue them, something that I've heard would require a fair amount of piloting skill. The CDR and LMP had confidence in the CMP; makes Jim Lovell's anger over Mattingly's replacement so close to launch all the more justified. It also lends creedence to the argument that, if he did get rubella, he would be ill around the time that they might need his skills the most. Pretty much a "Lose/Lose" situation!

Is the preferred order: CDR, CMP, LMP when stating the mission crew? For example, I used to say, Apollo 11: Armstrong, Aldrin & Collins wheras it should be Armstrong, Collins & Aldrin (or am I nitpicking? )

From, Light This Candle ; Neal Thompson 2004. pp 216-217 (regarding the Mercury 7 witnessing an Atlas launch)
Shepard admired the silver Atlas prototype... Then the ground shook and white fire screamed out from beneath the beast, which rose slowly above the Atlantic... its thin skin buckled and then the Atlas spectacularly exploded... Shepard turned to Glenn, who was standing beside him, and broke the stunned silence that followed. "Well I'm glad they got that one out of the way," he said. "I sure hope they fix that."

I watched some Gene Ray (Timecube) Youtube videos and I actually felt sad. He is a rambling, confabulating old man with a frayed-thread connection to reality. I'll no longer post anything negative about him. He will just fade away.

Hello. I'm 57 y/o, grew up following the Popular Science and Popular Mechanics coverage of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. I lay down in front of the TV on that Sunday night (NY) and watched Neil & Buzz (Edwin at the time) and was mesmerized! That feeling of awe has never faded.

Why did NASA need to fake 7 missions (9 if you include Apollo 8 & 10) including one failed attempt (faked, of course) if they already fooled everyone on the first (landing)? Question: What do the HB'ers say about 8 and 10?

Alright, capricorn1, I apologize. I see that you might not be a mind-numbed HB'er (maybe you'll actually look at scientific evidence and reason)! I reserve the right to change my mind, however, the minute you start talking about the "great actors" Orenthal James Simpson and James Brolin! ;D

OK, a non-issue; especially in light of this: "I am reading Clavius and my photography issues are being answered quite nicely! I am going to go over the the whole site then watch those films again and see if they make the same impression."

... he did say it was watching that movie that made him start thinking of the hoax in the first place.... I do not see that statement, Jason. Was it removed?

And what reason would that be?

Firstly, I don't think the choice of screen name is relevant. It's a matter of personal choice. Secondly, he did say it was watching that movie that made him start thinking of the hoax in the first place. Now why should the fact that Capricorn 1 shows a total failure of a hoax make any difference to the notion that it was what set him looking at the subject? I respectfully disagree.

... I'm not as schooled in hoax theory as you think.... So why did you choose capricorn1 as your screen name?
