On the March 29 episode of "The View" Rosie O'Donnell apparently expressed some conspiracy theories about the way the buildings (specifically WTC-7) collapsed on September 11th, 2001. I guess Rosie is an engineering expert now. Hopefully ABC will respond by actually putting a physics expert on the show as Rosie suggested... it will backfire on her. I believe the freedom of speech is important, but it is frustrating when idiots like her can spread that kind of garbage on an international program without anyone there to respond to it.

I guess Rosie is an engineering expert now. You aren't trying to deny her expertise in metallurgy are you?

Oh, no, of course not.

I made the mistake of checking out her blog. She writes like a teenager (ie. writing "2 day" instead of "today"). And we're supposed to take her seriously? She includes links to 9/11 Scholars, and WTC7.net, so we know where she's getting her "facts" from. And this person has an international audience.

Does anyone take Rosie O'donnell seriously? Or are they watching her purely for the entertainment value in seeing her spout complete gibberish?

Judging by the comments on her blog, she's getting a lot of criticism but also a lot of praise.

What does she think they do melt steel with?

I don't know, she must think things like automobile engines and the large metal beams used to construct skyscrapers come out of the ground already in the form they're in when we use them. Or maybe they grow on trees.

Go Rosie. whoop whoop. ;D
It wouldn't matter what Rosie said or how she said it, it would still have more merit than the official conspiracy theory. You have your contrary view on the view with Elizabeth, the fact that Rosie shoots her down so easily is a shame for pseudoskeptics. Then again you have Danny Bonaduce and Bill O'Really to take comfort from.

Yes. Steel has never melted before in history. That has a lot of merit.

Yes. Steel has never melted before in history. That has a lot of merit. That's not what she said, she said from fire. What she said probably wasn't elaborate enough but it will do. All those millions of view viewers will soon learn the type of fire required to effect steel framed skyscrapers in such a way as to put demolition companies out of business does not exist in reality.

So the conspiracy theorists have Rosie on their side, the official explanation has pretty much every professional engineer and scientist in the world. Hmmm... who should I believe?

Yes. Steel has never melted before in history. That has a lot of merit. That's not what she said, she said from fire. which is equally meritorious!
