This might be a totally useless thread, but hey, you know me. This thread is about deals that any members may see concerning books, DVD and the like pertaining to Apollo or the Space Program, or even Space and Astronomy. You get the idea. I've just come across this really good one today. The book is NEW ATLAS OF THE MOON by Thierry Legault & Serge Brunier A nice spiral bound book, originally $55.00, now selling for $12.99 at Coles bookstores in Canada. It may also be at Chapters. \ (EDIT: Just checked, and yes it is at Chapters at the same price). Here is an amazon link with a description of the book: www.amazon.com/New-Atlas-Moon-Serge-Brunier/dp/1554071739/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213751064&sr=8-1I borrowed this book a few months ago at the library, and just bought it today because it is so excellent in presenting a good map (s) of the moon. Excellent photos and information.

Yeah, I saw that book at Coles the other day too... I didn't get it and now I regret it. I'll try to get it next time I'm at the mall.

The only problem I have with this book, is that it doesn't have any latitudes or longitudes on any of the photos of the moon or craters. I thought it would have a least one or two pages devoted to that. Also, the far side of the moon is not included. The book is more of a guide for viewing the moon using eyes, binoculars or telescope.
