Has any of the unused LM ever been in exposition outside the USA?

Did you mean "exhibition"?

Yes. I thought it would be a cognate in English.

Can't say about the LM's, but the CM for Apollo 10 is in the London Science Museum in England.

The Apollo 13 capsule was on loan to a Paris museum but was recalled after the release of the Apollo 13 film. Annoyingly I only found out when I went to the museum in Paris and found a capsule shaped hole. My girlfriend couldn't see the problem 'wasn't it just like the one in London?' Well pretty much but that's not the point!
In answer to your query, I am not aware of any LM being exhibited outside the US but happy to be corrected if anyone knows any better.

I think there are only three LMs left, aren't there? One in the Smithsonian, one at the Kennedy Space Center, and one in New York at the "Cradle of Aviation" museum (used in From the Earth to the Moon)?

Yes. Japan, somewhere in the mid-70s. I'll try to dig up the details.

Unless you count the six descent stages on the moon and the Apollo 10 ascent stage in orbit round the sun. (The descent stage was left in orbit round the moon, but has probably impacted the surface by now).

Did you mean "exhibition"? Jairo usually does alright. You've read his location and signature? Some under-informed members have even mistaken him for an HB, which he isn't. The third definition of exposition in my Collins dictionary is "a large public exhibition, esp. of industrial products or arts and crafts."

I'm sorry. There's more than one definition of exposition so I was confused. I've read Jairo's posts before and I certainly know he's not an HB.

Not counting the LM artifacts in my collection (which have been outside the US while assigned abroad on active duty :-) ) - there are several test articles also on display throughout the country to include the Cradel of Aviation (LTA-1), Kansas Cosmosphere (LTA-3D), Space Center Houston (LTA-8A); Museum of Science and Industry (MSC-16) and the North Carolina of Life and Sciences (TM-5). Apparently the LM in the Science Museum in London is a replica - I had a feeling it was. Would be interesting to know how accurate it is. They call it a "highly accurate, full-sized replica of 'Eagle'".
Edited for typo
