Delete "1.2.3.12/bmi/" from both URLs and they work fine. (Is 1.2.3.12 even a valid IP address?)
As to the contents... eh, you sift though enough photos of hills, you're bound to find 2 that look vaguely similar... from one angle.

Weird about the pics. If you paste the URLs into your browser they work fine as they did on my forum. Its mad there working again now. Like i said sometimes they do sometimes they dont.
Is there anyway to show that they are not the same?
Any ideas anyone?

Well, the surrounding hills are very different. Since it would be hard to explain how they uprooted that hill alone and placed it in a lunar landscape, I see no explanation required other than they just happen to look similar.

I agree but you know what the woos are like. They will just hand wave that away with they only used that mountain and made all the others disappear with Hollywood magic.

Compare the heights. South Massif is 2287 metres / 7,500 feet above the Taurus-Littrow valley floor and the hill in Hawaii looks like it's only a small fraction of that height above the surrounding terrain. Besides, doesn't it have some sort of cleft running down it near the right end, or is that another hill beyond it?

By his reckoning its the same scale and hes done this to prove it Prove I'd say he's either joking or as ignorant as most HBs when it comes to analysing photos. All that composite does is show that the Hawaiian hill and South Massif are roughly similar in shape from those angles, which we can see from simply comparing them, but it says nothing about scale at all, particularly if we find the distances to both. He didn't superimpose the hill in such a way that both it and South Massif are visible. Doing so would most likely show they are not identical. Unfortunately I'm not able to work on it right now, but perhaps someone else is. Wow, if a few of us worked to a similar "standard" of photo analysis, we could probably show an old red telephone box having the "same scale" as many modern tall buildings, a cake having the "same scale" as Buckingham Palace, or Michelangelo's David having the "same scale" as JayUtah.

This reminds me of a thread on BAUT a couple years ago. They had a picture that looked like Hadley Rille, but was actually Mauna Kea, Hawaii.
They had a link to a tourist hiking company from the Hawaiin island. On this website, reading his account of their hike, they came across a sign that stated that the Lunar (Lander) was tested there.
Very interesting but they closed it down fast. Within an hour! it was locked.

There is a cone in the wasteland of Haleakala on Maui that looks like that trapezoidish looking mountain. Interesting that Maui is the prankster demigod in legend......

Lunar lander tested in Hawaii? I don't recollect ever seeing that claim.

Does the "trapezoidish looking mountain" have an actual name? And do you have pictures of it and the cone in Haleakala so people can see the similarities for themselves?

I know the astronauts did some geology training in Hawaii.
