How is Clavius going to handle the lunar photos?

You're going to have to be a bit more specific than that....

How is the Clavius web site going to handle the fact that a low orbital probe has taken clear photos of all of the Apollo landig sites? Does the website already address these? I mean, it seems like pretty definate proof and so the argument, I would assume, is all over and we can put the debate to bed at last. Or do HB's think that the photos were photoshopped and Clavius is debunking that?

The new images will certainly give the current generations some more evidence to examine when listening to the wild claims. But the hoax promoters will be willing to say anything if they think there is a sufficiently large audience of marks willing to give them money.

I haven't yet addressed the most recent photography. Since Clavius' primary mission is to answer conspiracy theory claims, I'm waiting until the hoax proponents' arguments have evolved sufficiently. But yes, the emerging proposal is that the photos are simply created in Photoshop.

But yes, the emerging proposal is that the photos are simply created in Photoshop. It seems Jarrah White has well and truly taken up the mantle left to him by Rene and Kaysing. If you can bear it, and want to see how the LRO arguments of the conspiracy brigade are evolving, then you can always sit through Jarrah's recent videos on the subject. To the best of my knowledge, he is the most active at putting forward arguments for LRO. I simply don't have the willingness to sit through them and distil them. Not after his first few efforts of garbage.

Jarrah White stays at YouTube and caters to his small group of friends in their little walled garden there. I'm more interested in opinions whose originators are willing to defend in public. Further, Jarrah has a personal vendetta against me for some reason, which leads him to produce arguments that are more anti-Jay than pro-hoax. I don't consider him a valid bellwether of conspiracist arguments.

I don't consider him a valid bellwether of conspiracist arguments. I'd agree with that sentiment Jay. Jarrah is certainly more interested in 'powning' you and others (Phil Plait included) than engaging in a real debate. For example, Jarrah has been asked on numerous occasions to submit his 'research' for scholastic review, but runs away from that suggestion straight away. I guess he has inherited his anti-science, anti-establishment stance from Uncle Ralph. I have some fairly staunch views on Jarrah, but I'll keep those private so not to be accused of ad hominen attacks. Having watched some of Jarrah's videos, I realise I have wasted precious moments of my life. But even I go back for more as I am not prepared to subscribe to the comedy channel. After all, we are all need of a good laugh from time to time. He has produced three works recently discussing 'LRO oddities'. If I recall, the series is called 'LRO at 50km'. As I said, if you can bear it, and spare 30 minutes of your time, do take a look. Maybe you watch Jarrah's LRO claims over the course of year, and spread out the pain that way. Happy New Year by the way... TKW

I have 30 minutes to spare, but I'm not going to waste it on Jarrah White.

Oh, man. I just watched part 1. All he did was say the LRO images are fake because GeoEye-1 can take better images of the Earth from a higher orbit than the LRO. Absolutely no mention of their different size optics.
I can't make myself watch any more.

i think hes done more movies on LRO than anything else to date. I can't make myself watch any more. lol you should see part 2. he goes on and on about how every individual pixel in the LRO images have been tampered with, and a "jumbling" effect added to them

Alright, watched the 30 minutes. All I can say is that he can be beaten with wiki. Being myself an engineer with some knowledge of image compression I can affirm that this guy is, either a complete moron or nutter. His imbecility, as mentioned above ('jumbling') is such that he takes a lossy compressed image with the very know artifacts coming from ringing and such and says that it is added to the raw image. More to come, he dares to go even deeper, he (oh dear God) takes the images intended to be used in a web page with the text and arrows and zooms into the edge of the arrow and asks (oh god, again) "Why do the borders of the arrow look like stairs and are all pixelated?" And to go even further in his ignorance establishes the 'jumbling' effect as added to the raw image. I think that he is no longer funny but arrogant and stupid, every time more arrogant and stupid (duh!).

Well, at least some of you looked. In terms of hoax material, I think he is just trying to be original and wants to follow in Bill and Rene's footsteps, creating new theories and pushing the conspiracy as something he has adopted as the Grandson of the theory. This self congratulating title he has given himself says it all.
It seems he's been told the reason for the image 'oddities', but will he remove the videos on error? Not a chance. Such is the stubbornness of Jarrah.
It's his mantle now, and nothing will step in the way of fame and celebrity. He's becoming increasingly grandiose.

Why should I look? It's not as though I'm going to see anything unique or interesting.
