Just went on david icke to see what Apollo Gnomon wa on about there is a guy called aviatorexp who just cracked me up, I'm sure he is taking the piss. Here is one of his replies:
Dear Mr Duck,
Quote: aviatorexp,
I feel sorry for you, and I will help you with your collection of posters calling you a liar.
No need to pity me, I have a very nice collection of posters in my theatre room, mostly movies, but i do have a Garfield one from when I was a kid which says diet is die with a t. None of my posters speak to me though and none have called me anything. Do your posters speak to you?
Quote: YOU ARE A STUPID LIAR, There you go, one more post to your collection and please don't thank me cos I am here for you to tell you:
THE 9/11 FOOTAGE IS FAKE: Anyone claiming something else is a disinfo liar.
No no, I feel thanks are in order here, so thankyou for so eloquently elucidating me on my failings.
However is there any evidence you would like to present which supports your claim? I am trembling in anicipation waiting for your educated and intelligent response.
I thought it was funny.

Including (perhaps even especially) atheists. There you go again, Jason! Another dig . Geesh... What can I say? If RAF and I have anything in common, it's that I consider hard core atheism to be as irrational a position as he seems to consider all religious thought to be. RAF's beligerent/obsessive behavior on this forum certainly didn't do anything to improve my opinion of such atheists. But really it's a subject for another thread.

I think grashtel summed it up succinctly a few posts back. It's not necessarily the POV so much as the fanaticism an adherent brings to the table. I've seen 'over the top' reactions encompassing a multiplicity of belief systems. How's that for some unnecessary wordage? Anyway, to get this thread back on track I'll post something relevant. Hmm, let's see... 9/11 was a terrorist attack. There are no shape-shifting extraterrestrials amongst us. I've lost some of my 'missionary' zeal and no longer feel compelled to roll in the dirt with woos on their sites but anyone here who goes to ATS or [name your woo board] to interject rationality/critical thinking has my best wishes. Just remember, there's a reason those folks believe or claim to believe their delusions so don't expect common sense to turn 'em. Oh, almost forgot...don't forget the Nomex®.

I was lurking on the David Icke forum for a while but I have lost interest, some of the topics there wouldn't even fit in our beyond belief section, it's more like beyond sanity. There is definitely a 'pack' mentality when attacking opponents and it gets vicious, lots of personal attacks and very little common sense. Apollo Gnomon has had some run ins with these guys especially in the 9/11 and Moon hoax sections, It’s definitely a case of intelligus depletus.

There are a few genuinely intelligent people there who's belief in things beyond my own are no more extreme than some of us, with different religions, jobs, approaches to life. . .
A couple of people seem vaguely willing to learn, but most of them seem to have too much emotional investment in their bizarre belief system. They become angry and frightened when confronted with facts, numbers, calculations that contradict someone's u-tube "analysis" that tries to interpret 3 fuzzy pixels from a fuzzy video tape.
A few people seem to be trying to inject intelligence and common sense into the threads.
And then there's Bob.
His conspiracy theory is that he, not Charles, is the rightful heir to the throne of England. It has to do with some kind of Catholic/Protestant issue with the Stuarts and Windsors, or something. His explanation leaves a lot to be desired.
Anyway, the Prince of Wales is Bob's personal tormentor and has been all their lives. Minions of Charles even went so far (he says) as to raise the price of grapes at some store when Bob was 4 so that his granny couldn't buy him some.
Bob has "inside" information about the "murder" of Diana. He says that a cop punched her and delivered the death blow after the wreck. He then mentions this same cop as someone who follows him around and stuff. Not a different cop. But the exact same one.
He accuses Charles' minions of editing his posts to add typos after he submits them.
And, predictably, his narrative includes multiple references to contact with mental health professionals, law enforcement, drugs, alcohol, hookers, and more mental health professionals.
Fascinating. Reading there is like watching a freddy kruger movie - somehow creepy, horrific, and hilarious at the same time.

He accuses Charles' minions of editing his posts to add typos after he submits them. Well, that sounds rather inefficient. Why don't they just infect his computer with a virus like Jay did to Jarrah?

I'm always stunned by the lengths to which the Powers That Be will go to in order to torment some of these people. Surely it's just easier to kill them. As for making them look foolish, well, they manage that quite nicely on their own.

Nono; you see, the Powers That Be are cruel, heartless bastards to a man, and torturing innocents to the brink of insanity is sport to them. Especially now they can't hunt foxes with dogs any more.

The people over at DI are really inept. At this point the only contenders on the "aussie genius" thread are random strangers wandering in.
I've spent the last few days slapping the crap out of the "no planes" guys in the 9/11 threads. They're starting to run out of steam.
They're used to sitting around and congratulating one another and don't know how to respond to actual challenge.

It isn't proof of hoaxed moon landings and I'd never suggest it is. But it undermines the agency and calls into question its integrity.
Believing everything the government and its agencies tell us is not really very clever. It's being naive.

Yeah, amazing. How many times does Aldrin have to explain about SLA panels?
