(Please forgive the tardiness of my response on a thread that has already moved on - my daughter [the first for my wife and I] was born last Wednesday and I was a bit busy last week, only reading this thread today) . In the words of the Internet, W00T! Congratulations on the perpetuation of you genome. ;D

Total mass of atmosphere: ~25,000 kg By comparison, the propellant mass in the two stages of the Apollo lunar module was about 10,700 kg. The service module carried another ~18,000 kg. So one Apollo mission emitted more gas from its rocket engines than contained in the entire lunar atmosphere. Each mission must have significantly changed the lunar atmosphere for a time.

So, as I've been reading at the icke forum I've been trying to think up a totally nonsense "hoax" to promote. I can't think of anything weirder than things they already believe.
Like the shuttle is a hoax, or that they take the shuttle to the moon and fly it back on helium 3.
Nuclear power and weapons are a hoax.
No-planes 9/11 is still popular, and Paul-is-dead still has some amount of pull.
Chemtrails are a fact of life; the debate rages on whether they're conduction channels for HAARP or if they're some kind of aerosol toxin.
HAARP, of course, is a giant weapon. I mean, just look at it! And it can cause earthquakes and volcanoes.
These people have set the bar quite high. I can't think of anything more absurd to prank them with than the stuff they've already pranked themselves with.

Something involving Bigfoot, perhaps?

What's HAARP again?
Maybe you could come up with a string of gibberish to go with other musical instruments and promote that? PICOLO or XYLOS or FLUUT or similar.

How about that the year is actually 1910, and all the technology they think they're using is a hallucination caused by the Earth passing through the tail of Halley's Comet (which happened in 1910).

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (they presumably decided to leave the F out of the acronym because HFAARP would tend to be pronounced like someone passing gas), a research program that studies the ionosphere and aurora by pretty much poking it with high frequency radio waves and seeing what happens.

Since my last post is appearently being ignored, I guess the answer to this question... Is anyone here "getting" this? ...is no. I guess that I was in error to think that "like minded" individuals posted to this board...bottom line is I don't belong here. This will be my last post. I wasn't here RAF but if I was and decided to weigh in, you probably wouldn't have liked it. What happened to you? Primarily all I've seen from you here was cranky dogging of a particular poster under the guise of religious intolerance that some self-anointed "skeptics" see as a prerequisite. You got mean RAF. Why would you want to post on a "herd" board where everyone agrees and slaps each other on the back? I find the regulars here intelligent and informative but I disagree with some things they opine on. I think it adds something to a board where I primarily lurk and read the Apollo stuff when I can exchange POVs and debate issues when I have the time. I hate to see you go RAF, but if stalking Jason and the requirement that we all be "like-minded" is all that important to you then you're probably doing the right thing.

It's not as though it isn't possible to just not read someone's posts, after all. Especially when they have an avatar.

Unfortunately fanaticism isn't limited to just religious types, any belief system can result in it.

Alright, I know this isn't from the David Icke thread, but ATS, and it isn't even that thread, but someone posted a link to a forum I've never heard of before (Life After the Oil Crash?!, sounds like a happy place) where some staggering photographic interpretation is going on: First the ATS thread that has been linked before (yea, were up to about 900 responses): www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread566601/pg48#pid8799172Next, the Oil Crash photo post: www.doomers.us/forum2/index.php?topic=54088.450I'm mean, I'm stunned, the pictures aren't even from the same mission! At least he gives the proper ALSJ ID.

Meh. ATS and GLP give me a headache to read. Probably from clenching my teeth. Icke is bad enough, but at least the format is readable and doesn't have ads scattered through the thread.
If I'm gonna waste time on the internet arguing with morons I like it to be on tidy and easy to read forums.
