There's Angeress . . . but it remains to see whether her posts yesterday were just a hit-and-run.

What can photo experts tell about Apollo from the Chang'e-1 photos? They can tell if there are the landers and rovers left on the moon. There would be no need for the landers or rovers if there were unmanned missions to the moon.

I really don't think they can tell this from the Chang'e-1 pictures. The resolution is not high enough to see the leftover Apollo hardware. Could someone who's better at photo analysis than me please clear this up?

There would be no need for the landers or rovers if there were unmanned missions to the moon. Er, but there were unmanned missions to the moon. BTW, a belated welcome, and an amplification of gillian's point that the vast majority of the members here are on the same page as you (myself included). The only hoax promotion/defense I've seen in this thread has been purely tongue-in-cheek, if not outright mockery of the <cough> " theory" (pardon me while I go rinse out my mouth with turpentine for that gross denigration of the language.) We tend to get a bit stir-crazy around here without an even halfway-rational HB to spar with.

Er, but there unmanned missions to the moon. Only by the Russians that landed on the moon, not the US. The US unmanned missions did not land on the moon. According to your link. Thanks.

The US unmanned missions did not land on the moon. According to your link. What was Apollo 12's landing target? (edit- hint: Scroll down to "American unmanned soft landings (1966–1968)" )

Did you miss the Suveyor missions? Disd you miss that no reflectors placed on the moon by them. Did you also miss the point of Apollo 12 taking one apart. Which means there were manned landings.

No one's saying reflectors were placed on the Moon by Surveyor. What we're saying is that the Surveyor missions were unmanned lunar missions from the US.

No one's saying reflectors were placed on the Moon by Surveyor. . Well you might want to tell that to the no moon landing people who state they were placed on the moon by unmanned missons.

This thread seems to be getting un-necessarily confused.
Ultima, we know what missions landed on the Moon and what they did when they got there, manned and unmanned. The last few comments are responding to your statement:
Why did you say that if you knew about the Surveyor missions? We know they landed, we know they didn't place reflectors. We know that there were several unmanned USSR lunar landings, two of which did include reflectors (albeit as part of a roving vehicle, and one didn't work anyway).

Yes seems i forgot about Surveyor, i am man enough to admit i am wrong. People who believe we did not land on the moon have stated that the only way the American reflectors got on the moon was by unmanned vehicle.

We know that. Many of us have been debating the hoax believers for years, and we're quite familiar with the reality and their flawed arguments.
