What's to stop them just ramming layers into a tube?
I hate to ask, but were you on some mind-altering substance when you wrote that about the Apollo core samples? Do you think that geologists are too thick to notice?
Perhaps while you're browsing the Apollo 11 sample catalogue you could go to the bibliography, get hold of some of the papers mentioned, and tell us which of the geologist-authors, in your opinion, are too stupid to know that the samples they are writing about are actually fakes.
